During 1971 would be the only year that both the home and road uniforms for the Astros would be worn. In 1972, they would receive their double-knit uniforms that would also include some minute differences. The number font for the road jersey was the "Red Sox" font in reddish orange on dark blue with also the same color scheme for the names on the back. I got all my info from Bill Henderson's program "Game Worn MLB Jersey Guide". Thanks to all involved in starting this website.
