jkilla74
Im trying to figure out if its worth buying... I like 2004, and my sliders are set perfectly and my rosters are set up perfect. Im wondering if its worth changing.... Is 2005 any better????
Kamasutra
there's an Impressions Thread, I have an Impressions Page as well for that purpose
cubsfaninfla
2005 is better in the sense that the plays are more correct and the mini games are pretty fun. The problem is, Create-A-Stadium is not real in depth and all the stadiums end up being pretty much the same when push comes to shove. Create a player is more in depth though..... I reccomend it. AcousticNut
I stopped in to see if somebody had asked this question killa. After investing months tweaking 2004 to where it's playing to my liking, I'm wondering if it's worth it to move to 2005 and start all over again. At this point I'm leaning towards staying w/ 2k4 until the modders have had a chance to work their magic and then I may switch.
paulw
Better gameplay - worse overall graphical presentation
AlexTony
I agree Paul W. We all might have to do something about that  Then it could be Very Good!!
DarkEnigma510
2005 seems pretty tight in most respects. MOre variety in hits it seems and just little things that add to the enjoyment of the game (home run cut scenes), more variety in errors, foul bouls, etc. I've got both but still keeping my MVP2004 dynasty alive for the ages. endeavor
I agree Paul W. We all might have to do something about that  Then it could be Very Good!! 100% agreed. I think once we got some mods, especially stadiums and uniforms, this could be AWESOME!! I cannot get over the sloppy grass textures!
pet1
Gameplay is better. Better hitting, and fielding. But the graphics seem to be downgraded. It seems to lack a polished vibrant look. Like 2004. I guess because of owner mode, mini games and etc... they had to bring the graphics down a bit. I for one don't care for owner mode. So I'd rather have better graphics. mastasports1
Gameplay, IMO, is 10x better. It is just amazing. And the overall graphics are great (I run everything on top settings) so there only cosmetics needed. It takes some getting used to, but after you learn it, it blows 04 away, IMO. Batsboy
2005 is what 2004 should have been. As I'm playing, I can't help but feel that for the most part, it's the same game with more polish (in terms of gameplay.... because honestly.... UI and the menus are almost the same as 2004). I'm a hardcore PC sports gamer so I buy almost every title every year (it's ok since I don't spend money on any other genre). Even if you spent a lot of time tweaking 2004, you will be able to re-create that very quickly in 2005 since most of the sliders and the logic behind them are exactly the same. And remember, 2005 is cheaper now so it really should be considered an "expansion".
