Steve03
Many of us have noticed that it is harder to hit home runs in MVP 2005 and they are also shorter than last year. My longest so far was 498' by Sean Casey at SBC Park. What has been your longest on 2005?
ability
:| @ 498' being "short".

RonBurgundy
Well, it seems the Home-Runs are more realistic this year... Remember people, you're NOT SUPPOSED to hit 550 Ft. home-runs each time you connect...where they are now (400~500) is perfect. We have the just-cleared-the-fence dingers, line-drives, normal home-runs, long home-runs, moon-shots, and I'm sure someone will produce a 550+ Ft. Home Run... APR
470 ft. bomb with Manny at Fenway.
EviLMonkey
487 dead center with Sexson at Safeco.. Also had a 463 foot dinger with Beltre to left-center. Ive only played about a dozen games so far.. Im sure we will get some 500+ foot shots!
Gamingboy
580 FT!!!! as Todd Helton... in that stupid batting mini-game that is growing on me..... But actual game? 460 for me, although I saw an opponent get 480.
Steve03
I totally agree that the home runs are more realistic this year and hence shorter. I am glad that 550+ HRs are not common in the game anymore. 498 is still a moon shot but it was average compared to last year which is what my main point was. peterbernard
898 feet by jacob paterson at that spring training stadium that has a scarecrow in the outfield. I'm using Fraps to make an art film about a team of midgets controlled by a scarecrow... I know that's weird. But this year, the paterson brothers some out as little people. So if you make them 5'6", they're REALLY small men with really tiny strike zones, it's hysterical and sort of Twin Peaks weird. I read some fathers here who play with their kids--this might be fun for the younger kids to be able to hit monster shots off their dads, etc.
