gRaider2001
Hello all, first I would like to say thank you for all of the great people who make the awesome mods for the best baseball game ever:-) For the pass couple of days I been trying to figure out how to update the players ages in game so when playing mods they would not be listed as "12 years old." I figured it out and wanted to share the steps I used with the rest of the community in case others are trying to figure out how to complete it. Below you will find the steps I used. You need to download MVPedit program found here: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=4459 Then you click on import at the top of the program. A box will pop up and you need to direct it to your MVP directory and point it to "database." For example: Mvp 05>data>database. Click ok after selecting database. It will ask you to save the file and just name it whatever you would like. I named my file mvp13roster, but name it whatever. The program will now load your roster. You then click on "GblEdit" at the top right. On the bottom left you will see a box that says "Modify." From the drop down menu under "field" change it to "birthday". Next to that you will see a box that says "Op." From that drop down menu chose "static" and under the box "value" input minus and the number of days that have passed since 2005. For example, using MVP 13 mod, I had to put -2920 in value box because that represents 8 years (365 x 8 years=2920) that have passed from 2005 until 2013 seasons. Make SURE TO PUT MINUS INFRONT OF NUMBER. You can not factor in leap years, but it gets it close enough. After doing that click run and it will automatically update all players to the correct year. Then you click on export point it back to your MVP "database" and hit ok. After make sure you start MVP baseball and under "manage roster" click "reset rosters" for it to update your ingame roster. I know it seems like a lot, but it only takes about 2 mins to complete. Just hard to explain typing:-) Also read this post for more information on using MVPedit. http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic=12410 It basically describes what I just said, but I included how to change ages. Hopes this helps:-)
