DeadShot
I don't care if the Yankees won. That worthless Teixeira is a no good bum. I will say Teixeira is one of the most reliable bats in the Yankees
Yankee4Life
I will say Teixeira is one of the most reliable bats in the Yankees That's true. When we really need a hit you can pretty much count on this guy to not deliver.
Yankee4Life
You got to hand it to the Yankees because they consistently show why they suck so much. If anyone thinks that these ****heads are a good hitting team you are nuts. This team can go screw themselves.

Yankee4Life
Somebody call up Refsnyder already...jeez... No, he's too young. Better to go out and get another 39-year-old player.
sabugo
No, he's too young. Better to go out and get another 39-year-old player. That's exactly right. Beltran's season has been nothing but a big 'You should have signed him all those years ago!'

Yankee4Life
Brett Gardner and Derek Jeter both share the A**HOLE of the night award because they each went 1 for 6 in the game.
Yankee4Life
The Yankees lead in today's game but only one inning is completed. They still have eight more to go. A lot of time to screw up!
Yankee4Life
Five in a row for the Yankees. These bunch of losers know how to dig deep to come up with a loss.
Yankee4Life
To: girardij@nyy.com From: maddenj@tbrays.net Subject: Thank you Joe, Sweeping your team in this three game series is probably just what my guys needed as we get closer to the All-Star break. Longoria said you guys were playing like you were sleepwalking and Price said that the last time he had an easy game like that was back when he was in high school. I think what you need is about three more Japanese pitchers but we're sure you guys are already on it. Hey, we'll see each other in August unless one of us (probably you) is fired. Just kidding! sabugo
The Yankees have been between not too bad (ie: swept the Blue Jays) and the not so good at all (swept by the Rays). But hey, today is Tanaka Day. Which means Tanaka-san will perform great and be rewarded with something like a couple of hits and a run by the Yankees hitters. It's either going to be a 1-0 win or a 2-1 loss. Yankee4Life
Brian Roberts had 4 hits in today's game. 3 doubles and a triple. Up next: Hell freezing over. You got that right. Now I'm worried that the Yankees are going to give Roberts a new five-year 90 million dollar contract.
Yankee4Life
The Oakland Athletics acquired Chicago Cubs pitchers Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel for prospects and I could not be happier for both teams. I think Samardzija is a good pitcher but if the Yankees were to get him they would have to give up a lot more than Oakland did.
DeadShot
Why would Oakland acquire two starters? I know they need them for the playoffs push, but they still have AJ Griffin and Jarrod Parker on the DL.When those two come back next year, they will have a logjam in the starting rotation. sabugo
The Yankees would have done something very very stupid if they really wanted Samardzija. Not they got all this extra stupidity to invest in some other dumb trade for a over the hill FA.

And even though Samardjia is not over the hill the Yankees would have surely overpaid for him.

Probably anticipating more injuries. I think they have a good problem. After the Orioles, they're the bandwagon I'm jumping on come playoff time. Although I'm very disappointed in what Manny Machado did earlier this year. I'll chalk it up to him being a kid and look for him to reform and respect the game better.
