Seven7
So I made the move to a new laptop and grabbed the MVP 13 mod instead of hanging onto MVP 08. So I get all installed and setup perfectly... However, every 7 to 10 seconds it freezes for 2 or 3 seconds. I can be clicking through things in Manage Rosters or while inside a Dynasty or even if I just move my mouse around the screen it will still freeze and unfreeze without even have done anything. The game does not crash and I have no problems with starting a game up but in-game it also freezes. I thought it might have been the graphics options or something to do with my video driver or even Desktop Windows Manager handing the screen but none of that resolved anything. I don't really want to go back to MVP08 at this point. Has anyone come across this before?
Yankee4Life
There are enough Mvp 13 support topics around and lately there seems to be a lot more. Please search the next time.
Seven7
I am aware of the freezing that is corrected sometimes by installing explodeme through a desktop directory. I do not think this is the same issue. Before I delete what I did with my install and try it again via desktop install I was asking if anyone has had this issue where the result ended up being something video related and not necessarily mod related. I've been around 9 years on here and I do search before posting but if a search result comes up blank I then post about what's going on. I should have mentioned that I already read through posts and did a search for what my ailment was as part of my initial post here. I never saw anyone mention if an issue ended up being video related because that is what I suspect it to be, given a similar issue I had with Excel. Thanks for the reply, though. I hope I can figure this thing out if nobody has any suggestions for checking on if it might be hardware/OS related instead of Mod.

Well the main thing here is getting past this nagging problem since that is the main issue here. I'm no expert and I won't pretend to be but this really could be a hardware problem. Usually the problems we get hear about with season mods are the game crashes while it is being started or it crashes loading a game. You don't have that. Homer
do you have the specs on the laptop? sounds like a hardware issue to me as well.
Seven7
Sure do. Dell Latitude E6410 Windows 7 (sp1) 64-bit Intel Core i7 CPU M620 @ 2.67GHz 2 Core, 4 processors 4 GB RAM Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD 60GB HDD (6GB free) I might try something stupid and hope it doesn't bit me in the behind with my devices... Gordo
Integrated graphics cards generally don't do well with gaming.
DaSteelerz
Honestly, my guess is that it's one of two things. Try these- 1. Make sure your drivers are up to date. (Audio too!!) Being an older game it's more than likely a hardware issue by what you describe. Here's one link for that: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/graphics 2. It could be a conflict with your processor. Dual core with 4 processors (to be put simply as possible) can have trouble conveying messages to each other causing a conflict. (new hardware old software!) My advice is going to your task manager and select the exe and tell it to run on 2 or even 1 processor. I think on Win7 you can do it by right clicking the exe. Here's what to do: Let us know what happens and you can go from there.
