cable901
I just downloaded and installed the Overlay Swapper, but for some reason when I try running it says "Component 'UnRarOCX.ocx' or one of its dependants not currently registered: a file missing or invalid." Any idea what this is about?

khertens
I have just submitted what I hope is a fixed version of the Overlay swapper. I forgot to have the installer register the dll's and ocx's. Let me know if there is a problem.
kitm9891
I cant figure this program out for the life of me, I tried it last year and had zero success with it then also. I am following the directions right down to the " T " but nothing shows up or happens. If anyone can help me out with this that would be greatly appreicated or else I may just scrap it altogether and stick with downloading whatever one I want to use everytime. kitm9891
Nevermind, got too frustrated after spending what seemed like days on it, so I just quit and removed it from my computer altogether, thanks anyways. I dont want to sound like I dont appreciate the hard work involved in these but when I am spending more time trying to get this program to work and cant understand why I cant get any overlays displayed in the overlay swapper and everytime I put one there and click on the option to display it gives me a runtime error. I am more then willing to listen to anyone with some input on this if anyone has the time to give me a hand. Thanks in advance.
kitm9891
And just to provide the proper infomation the error message I get when trying to install the Swapper is as follows Error opening file for writing C:WINDOWSsystem32riched32.dll, I have no clue what this means and no clue obviously how to fix this problem. Not sure if this is what is causing the problems I am having with this program but thought if anyone could help they may need all the info I can provide, as always thanks in advance. kitm9891
Well I finally figured it out and figured I would post just in case anyone else was having the problems I was having. First off instead of installing the Swapper program using Winrar I used Winzip and it avoided the error message. Second, I downloaded the overlays again and instead of opening them I saved them and yet again I did that with the Winzip utility instead of winrar and it actually allowed me to access them through hte Swapper program and everything seems to be running smooth. So basically instead of using the winrar program I used the winzip program and it worked, I really hope I didnt just make a fool out of myself by pointing out what I was supposed to do from the beginning, well thanks for listening to me rant. cubby
I cant get this to work either. Using winrar or winzip I still get the smae error message as you do. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks!
Peter5897
I had a problem getting the overlay swapper to work in any drive other than my C: drive. I'm thinking that is because it is the drive I have windows installed on but I'm not sure. Now that I have it installed and working though I do still have a couple slight problems... the preview images don't all work. All of the overlays made by Trues work but the FSN overlays don't show their preview image. I changed the image size to whatever it was said to be in the readme file but I noticed that trues images are 800 x 600 and still work. Anyone have any idea why they won't show up? The first time I try to show the image I get an error saying something about a "nopreview.jpg" so I tried renaming the images to "nopreview" but it didn't work. Also Trues images are named something other than "preivew" or "nopreview". Even without the preview images the overlays are still loaded into the game properly, I just don't like seeing that "No Preview Image" screen. khertens
If you are still having trouble check your preview images. They can be any name as long as they are in jpeg format with a .jpg file extension. The nopreview.jpg image is shown whenever a jpg file is not found for a particular overlay.
cable901
The FSN overlays are in .jpg format, but for some reason their previews don't work. Wierd.
