ohboy Posted June 29, 2014 Share Posted June 29, 2014 Again I haven't played the game in a long while and everything is deleted. I'd like to start playing again and I'm having trouble. My problem is loading (MVP 13) at this time. (my 1st mod dl ) It's a clean/ fresh install with patches 1-5. 2005 works fine and loads fine. I made the sub category as per YFL told me years ago. C:MVP Baseball Season ModsMVP 05 Clean MVP 13 The game (mvp 13) loads the main screen but crashes to Desktop after that. I didn't see any patches in the forum. What am I missing?....It's just been a long time and I forgot. I really appreciate the assistance. Gordo Posted June 29, 2014 Share Posted June 29, 2014 Can you run a fresh basic install of 05? Better graphics card doesn't mean functionality. When I used to use an ATI card, new drivers were worse for the game and I always had to roll back. So if there are older drivers for this card, you may have to try that as well, especially if it doesn't run the basic install. It is a fresh/ clean install since I deleted everything years ago. I'm starting from scratch with the original 05' disk. Tried unpacking the explodeme file a couple of different ways and it still crashed during the main screen. Maybe disable the card and let the on-board graphics handle it to see if it will run it.....won't play well, but it should run it. When I go to the downloads page it confuses me on what will work with MVP13 so I haven't done anything yet, DL wise. Been playing and doing better, though. Baby steps.... The numbers have to be synced. But always, always, always make a backup (typically by copying and then renaming the good working file something like: xxxxxxx.bak or xxxxxxx.goodbak). This could mean changing the numbers on the cyber face files as well so that all matches up.
