If I may ask, why not? Is this a crime? I thought that was the way of the world. You know pay people for their services. I mean Some things are free but for the most part things are not. If you would like to have some particular mod made for you then just request it and that's that. This is how it is around here. A lot of people who modded for this game have left a long time ago or have gone back to MVP 2005, or moved on to the NBA 2K games which still get yearly iterations.
