sacha1973 Posted January 25, 2015 Share Posted January 25, 2015 I have the original discs and everything but it gets stuck at 58% and I get an error of "a problem occurred when trying to transfer the file E:data/stadium/rfksday.big Any advice? Is my disc scratched? Can I somehow get that .big file and add it to the folder so it will byspass the error? Please help!? If I were you I would go to a local game store and ask if they will resurface the disc for you. Take a lint free cloth and clean from the inside to out, not circular. DaSteelerz Posted January 25, 2015 Share Posted January 25, 2015 The best solution in my years of disc repair is toothpaste. The material gets into the tiny cracks and it's amazing how well it works.. Rub in a dime sized circle of toothpaste (dry) and cover the surface of the disc. Let sit 5 minutes or so and clean off with a wet towel. Dry lightly. Bostonnico Posted January 26, 2015 Share Posted January 26, 2015 so, I told the friend that if he can get the computer to read the disc, applying what DaSteelerz said, it is best to make an .ISO image disk to avoid future problems.
