jse516
Is anyone having trouble walking batters? I've tried different slider sets including pareds. I still only manage to walk 1 batter every couple of games, and I'm useing the Rockies!! Is this something that can be tweaked in the DAT file? To me meter pitching is totally craptastic
daddy
I'm getting about 3-4 walks per game w/stock sliders.
jse516
I have no trouble drawing walks, its throwing them. It was the same last year.
jpup
i am using Pared's slider on All-Star and have no problem giving up walks. 3 or 4 game at least.

I've tried those as well, and I'm on all-star. Maybe I should put tape on my thumb Let me ask, do you give up walks towards the middle innings or is it throughout? for me its only when the fatigue gets below 40%, once I send in a reliever its back to the same. I tried setting fatigue higher but can't make it past the 4th inning. And if I try setting the meter diff. past -30 the Cpu jacks one every other pitch :? Please help me become a bad pitcher
jpup
i use the reds and aim mostly at the corners.
DarkEnigma510
Ever try pitching with zones off and pitching cursor off (off not fade)? I find that if I am painting the corners I'll quite often draw at least a few walks (and get bombed for at least one big homer). Other than this, its hard to walk batters unless you paint corners all the time and let a few go.
spitoon
Check out my thread in Mod Previews... Here I'm not 100% comfortable with it yet, but it's getting there...

I turn everything off, cursor, hot/cold, strike zone, vibration...and I'm using Pared's sliders, but I've dropped User Ptich Meter Difficulty to -50 and User Pitch Control to -50 as well... After changing the datafile, I might need to raise those numbers a bit...it can be difficult to throw strikes, especially at the corners...you can still pipe one pretty easily, but you will pay for that if you do it too many times... jse516
It would be nice if EA gave us a slider for the strike zone. It seems nipping the corners is not a 50/50 deal no matter who is pitching. If it was say 65/35 in favor of balls then I think they would have something. Spitoon if you need help testing that DAT file let me know.
