Windows 2000 Service Pack 15.1.2600 CPU: 1902 MHz Genuine Intel Total Memory: 254 MB Free Memory: 74 MB Drive C: Fixed, NTFS, 27.90 GB, 19.88 GB NT based system How does it look so far? It wouldn't give me any info on my video card because of the NT system.
YanksFan4Ever77
It will be VERY tight on memory. Laptop video cards aren't usually good.....
letsgoms
Anyway to fix that?
YanksFan4Ever77
Buy some more memory and buy a new video card. I know it may be not the answer you want but that's the way to "fix that"

YanksFan4Ever77
I used to have ALMOST the exact configuration of your backup computer. You do not even come close to the minimum standards to play MVP. To run MVP05 somewhat smoothly, you'll need at least 1 GB of RAM, a 128 MB+ video card, and a 2.5 GHz processor. Sorry to disappoint you :(
baseballfans
I listed the requirement specs for MVP http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Foru...ighlight=#67433 letsgoms your backup dell won't be able to run because the CPU: 598 and integrated video intel is not strong enough. Now Powerhouse131125 now I hope U don't get offended cause I have different opinion. I don't think U need "at least 1GB RAM" to run the game smoothly. Halo2 or FarCry may need it but MVP don't load 1GB of images into the RAM. And this year for some reason people with high expensive video card actually running more poorly thatn those with weak video card. So for once the poor folk actually are better off this year hehe. YanksFan4Ever77
I am not offended, I have 1 GB of ram, and the game still sometimes runs choppy. That's why I said that.
letsgoms
Well, let me ask this then. If my backup computer dosen't work, then should I take a risk with my laptop, or do I need more information. . .
KenDammit
lol I have 256MB of memory, and my game runs great, looks great...no problems with it whatsoever. However, my computer is a desktop and I'd almost bet that my graphics card is better than whats in your laptop, so at worst you could look into your laptop specs and see if the graphics can be updated, which is usually hard to do. The memory should be fine with your processor speed on the laptop, though. I have an XP2500 running stock and the game runs like I mentioned above. RAM
ps- just because someone can't afford a new vid card doesn't necessarily make them poor. not everyone here can suck on mommas teetees forever, some people actually have priorities. adembroski
I don't think the choppiness is necessarily related to the level of your system... honestly it seems like some lower end rigs run it better than the big ones. I'm running it on AMD Athlon 2.0gig processor with 512 MB Ram and a GeForce 4 64 MB video card, and it runs fairly well.
letsgoms
Well, that's good if my memory is OK! That means I'm halfway home. Now, because I have an NT system, it will tell me zip about what my video card is, so here's my display info, and see what you can figure out with that: Display Adapter: Intel® 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller Chip Type: Intel® 82845G Graphics Controller DAC Type: Internal Memory Size: 64 MB Adapter String: Intel® 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Bios info: Intel Video BIOS Monitor: Digital Flat Panel (1024X768) Driver Version: 6.13.01.3460 Physical Memory: 254 MB Max. Graphics Memory: 64 MB Processor: x86 Processor Speed: 2392 OK, I know that's a lot to digest, and I'm not even sure if it's the correct info to give out; but I would appreciate it if you gave me feedback. KenDammit
it means its motherboard integrated if i'm not mistaken. I'm not too familiar with laptops really as I don't like them so I don't own them, but I would guess that theres no way to upgrade anything by adding it to the board, so I guess your situation is a bust unless you can upgrade your desktop to new equipment.
