raidersbball20
As earlier this year we had the riveting topic of ketchup vs mustard I thought I would start this thread as we near the Christmas holiday. So what is your vote and why guys?

Jim825
Turkey for Thanksgiving, Ham for Christmas and Meatloaf for Festivus
raidersbball20
I like both. Most hams are processed with water and nitrites added so yea not the best for health. We actually have our own pigs processed by our local butcher and all I can say is its an actual ham and doesn't have a bunch of crap added in. sabugo
Come Christmas, It's anything goes for me. Whatever is on the table, dies! Turkey is part of the Portuguese traditions, but so is codfish (we are crazy for codfish, any excuse will do to eat it) and also goat. sabugo
Well, the goat just goes in the oven, I don't really know the words in english for it. Roasted maybe? Codfish that's another matter. We have literally over 100 recipes for it. But in Christmas it's generally boiled and served with potatoes and vegetables.

I've heard about the fantastic food from the Azores... I really want to visit one day.

I love it... our tradition is usually prime rib, but occasionally duck is served. I look forward to it every year. I'm hungry.
