zzcoolj21
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I can take an arcade game like this serious when we have The Show. Don't think I can commit to buy it. Animations still look like something from a phone game.

Yankee4Life
I'm sorry but this is not the worst looking baseball game I have ever seen. If it was for PC I would buy it right away.

The announcement only says "console versions" and I don't see it listed on the upcoming releases on Steam's website.
sabugo
Doesn't seem bad visually, but it still looks a bit too arcady.

DaSteelerz
Lol we've had this discussion before.. I thought RBI looked really cool when I watched it on Twitch.. it's arcadey, fast paced, multiplayer.. the feel was like SNES baseball. In a good way, I must say. 20 bucks is a good price even for my cheap ass.
zzcoolj21
Its $20 for the same game from last year and the year before. They haven't bothered to fix the clunky swing animation and $20 for a roster update is outrageous. If MLB media really wanted to do the right thing they would have just updated the first games rosters. This is like instead of getting MVP baseball we got 3 straight years of triple play 2001. Not saying triple play is a bad game, but what's the point in buying the same game every year with no improvements?

Because all some people need is a 16 on the box and they wet themselves.

Not saying triple play is a bad game, but what's the point in buying the same game every year with no improvements? They have announced improvements including online play. I think it's a bit early to say it's the same game. Besides not everyone cares for the show. Besides a game doesn't have to look like the real thing in order to be a sim. Just take a look at the Power Pro games they release in Japan, based on the PYS series but with cartoon looking characters yet it plays very sim Features Make the play Make the play with your favorite Major League Baseball team and win the World Series! Feel the action R.B.I. Baseball 16 features new fielding moves like dives, wall catches, pump-fakes and more! New and Improved R.B.I. 16 features enhanced lighting and graphics, revamped defensive AI and improved batting system. Season Track your season stats by team, player and league leaders across multiple seasons. Sim through games in Season mode! Your Team, Your Way Modify your lineup with complete MLB rosters or play classic R.B.I. Baseball 16-player rosters. Downloadable roster updates throughout the 2016 season. Multiplayer Take your skills to the next level and compete online (Console and PC versions only) More Details Defense: A redeveloped defensive AI will introduce new fielding capabilities including dives, wall catches, fake throws and more. This system will give users more control than ever before in making defensive plays. Baserunning: Built in part from MLBAM's award-winning tracking technology, Statcast™, baserunners' abilities will be driven by on-field metrics from the 2015 MLB season. Batting: An improved batting engine will feature variable perfect timing. For the best outcome, swing earlier on inside pitches and later on outside pitches. Pitching: With a reworked pitching strategy AI, pitchers will play to their individual strengths. For example, a pitcher who features a wide range of velocity will mix speeds more often. Season SIM: During season mode play, sim a game or multiple games to quickly advance through the season and into the postseason -- should the team win its division or earn a Wild Card spot. Lineup: Modify a team's lineup pregame or in-game, including substitution strategies such as double switches. Lineups can be set from a franchise's 40-man roster or the game's classic 16-player rosters. Graphics: All 30 MLB ballparks will feature a new lighting system based on actual geographic locations, field views and additional hi-resolution realistic design elements. Homer
yeah but besides that, what else did they do?
Kccitystar
This game was probably done with a team of about less than 20 people, especially since they're using the Unity engine to make it instead of a custom engine like most sports games. Also, that wonky swing animation is a staple of the RBI games, lol
Griz891
Just like last year when I seen it. Still no thanks, I'll wait for something more realistic to come out for PC.
