Honestly, don't bother asking. It will be ready when it's ready. They aren't more likely to give some sort of release date after every time someone asks when it's coming.

Short answer, I don't know and the mod developers probably don't know either. I understand many people are interested in this mod including myself but let's just let them get to work. It would honestly be nice if we had no more posts asking when it's coming and to stay relevant to discussing the mod's development.

I'm very excited about this mod and very much appreciate the work the modders are putting in.  That being said, they bear some responsibility in this question being asked repeatedly.  They originally posted the mod would be ready opening week.  Then they changed it to a week later.  Then by the end of April.  Now its just "sometime this season".  While I understand they have gotten more in depth with it and I appreciate it, it is disappointing that we could be waiting another 3 or 4 months for this mod.  If it takes that long, I won't be in a baseball mood anymore (being a Braves fan, I probably won't be too interested in August or September).  Hopefully they are close to being done.  The question would always be asked on when its gonna be finished, but they put it out there early on when they planned to release, so it's not just people begging for the mod.  It is a legitimate question.  Yes, it will be ready when it's ready, but yes they can also keep us updated on how much work is left.

Just a idea/question. are older stadiums like turner field still going to be in the game?

not for the braves, but if you created a team could you use turner field as your stadium?

I actually agree with you. It's not so black and white. By this point I would likely be getting impatient as well. It's my understanding the final roster is almost finished and release should be coming soon.

That's good news!  I definitely can't wait.  I'm ready for some baseball for sure.  But I didn't want it to sound like I'm being impatient.  I know its a lot of work and takes time, and I don't have the knowledge to do it.  So i really am thankful for the effort by the modders.

Why is it that people that are new here and/or rarely even post are the ones having issues with the total mod not being released yet? Do any of you realize the work going into this? The last total mod was done two seasons ago, and it wasn't released until almost the end of that season. Give the contributors some slack for being a little overly ambitious in their timeframe for release. Instead of griping about not having it now or sooner, try offering to help in some capacity. Think of  all the legwork that needs to be done to find good pics of all the advertisements for every stadium. And watching video to see what equipment a player uses, or what each hitter's batting stance is and each pitcher's wind-up is, and discovering each pitcher's repertoire, hitter and pitcher's tendencies. Not to mention trying to create a semi-decent cyberface for every player on each team's 25-man roster at minimum, or finding a substitute from a pool of 2K generic cyberfaces for each player.

You also have very good points scotty, this is a game being updated by totally non-paid artists. I've gotten one donation since i've started my work. (I have not forgotten that person!) I spent more than 60 hours on Wrigley Field and I still don't like it, lol.  That's just one stadium. I'm a little quicker now with practice.

It is a bit discouraging as a modder when you get nothing more than a download in the count. But I do love doing this. Not everyone is creative to the point of making mods. This is understood. It takes time and self discipline; passion. I do think many are under appreciated.

On the other hand, communication is huge. Nope, we don't owe that to anyone. But boths sides aren't so black and white. Not everyone is some asshole complaining "Gimme my mod!!!". I bet many of the lurkers on here would be genuinely sad and bummed out if this stopped. But we committed to this mod. I understand when the thread goes cold and people begin to be a bit anxious. But remember, you can consider the other hand... it better to have some interest than no interest at all.

I did Jose Abreu CF, but the file is unfortunately broken. My friend Hanny tried to revive him and got a solid cyberface but not good enough. I decided to do the first CF of Bryce Harper in the photo that is official for 2017 at mlb.com. Harper is not over yet, but here's one photo of the model I'm doing in the Blender program. After I do CF from Jose Abreu.

From a personal point of view, I'm desperately keen for it to be released just simply because I know how amazing it will be, given the talent of the guys working on it. And it's terribly difficult to remain patient about something you know will be amazing! :D

I'm much more excited about this mod than I would be if 2k were releasing a new updated game, because we know it will be done right.

All you people who  are working so hard on this mod I just want to say thank you. These people don't realize that all of you do this on your spare time, You have a daily life

that you have to live, If all of you didn't do this there would be no game to play. so everybody need's to be cool and let them finish the mod. they can only work so fast,

That looks fantastic man! Your texture mapping abilities are impeccable! I can't see the texture on the model since I don't have a 32 bit OS.

Friend install windows xp into a virtual machine and your problem will be solved. I so I did and now I can load the texture to the model in blender and edit at the same time is really good

I tend not to say a whole lot here myself, more of a lurker, I guess.  But I do have a modding background in other games (Trainz Railroad Simulator, for one), and really.  Things like this, what these guys are doing... it's not a cake-walk.  Those of you who keep asking "When will it be ready?"  It's ready when it's ready.  Pestering these guys about it only annoys them.  So yeah, don't be a gimmie pig.

To dasteelerz and those working on it, it looks absolutely brilliant what you've shared so far.  Gonna be a wicked release.

Yo, man! Looks like a breakthrough in cyberfaces! Do us a favor and take @Bostonnico 's  advice! We need these faces :)

I can't edit, create cyberfaces etc... but I could help sending a list with equipment, some generic faces that match well with players without 'real cyberface', pitchers motions, etc if needed. I love doing that with Rockies players, making them the most real possible with their accessories and batting stance, plus repertoire from NL pitchers (especially rookies like Senzatela, Freeland, German Márquez, etc).

The more legwork that is offered with those kinds of things the better. Imagine how much easier and faster it would be if there was a person/fan of each team willing to do that to create the best roster possible?

Here's a txt with all those kind of stuff from the Rockies. Batting stances for Blackmon, DJ, Parra,  Wolters, Story and Tapia. Pitcher delivery for Chatwood, Chad Bettis, T. Anderson, Carlos Estevez, Senzatela, Márquez, Freeland, Hoffman, Jon Gray, Chris Rusin, Oberg. Plus the full repertoire and correct usage (according to fangraphs) for Hoffman, Senzatela, Márquez and Freeland.

How to solve the problem of the eyes color? Hope that Bostonico will help?

@Jed Until now only with the Reditor II, can be done and I did not find the texture of the eyes, I still search. So for now we can not do anything. :(
Another quick solution, is that you send the final file of the cyberface harper to @raidersbball20 and that he changes the color of the eyes, because he has Reditor II with his license.

I have full reditor and redmc license also and can help with anything needed

These are good news. We need a change of eye color with Bryce Harper. Now I am not sure what we all need but I expect Bostonnico to tell us that. In advance thanks for the help offered.
