bigbully
let me begin by saying wow - these 2004 mods are really awesome! Each year keeps getting better and better! I've found a modded Dodger Stadium file from MVP 2003 at: http://files.simcentral.net/index/Detailed/2869.shtml The outfield fence in this mod is the best I've seen! Is there anyway someone could incorporate this into a MVP 2004 stadium mod? I would love this!

CaliColts
I sure hope its possible to do at least a few things EA left out and did wrong. Im still trying to figure out where the trees behind the bleachers idea came from, I know there are trees, but they are out by the ticket booths and nowhere near as big as EA's are. I have counted at least 10-15 things EA got wrong, but if I can figure out this Oedit thing and how to link up the bmp to the changes made, maybe I can make a more realistic Chavez Ravine. Not having edited a stadium since High Heat 2001, this is all new to me, but if its possible I will make a proper place for the Dodgers to play. bigbully
Much appreciated. Did you get a chance to check out the fence from the 2003 file - much better than the EA 2004 version.
CaliColts
Actually I could only see the pic they included in the zip, as I dont have MVP 2003, but it looks like a nice job. I was able to get a very primitive version of the wall photos into my High Heat 2001 mod of Dodger Stadium, although they repeated several times, it was better than just the plain blue wall. A few screenies are below. To do this in MVP 2004 using Oedit (which I am very much new to), the wall panels must point to the specific bmp with that image of the wall and this is repeated several times along the wall. I need to be able to have each wall panel point to a new or added graphic to make the mural effect and that is what I am having trouble with. The out of town scoreboards seem like they should be easy once I figure the wall out. EA also did a strange thing around the bullpens, the image used for the windows at the 360 marker are the same on both sides, if you really look at it right you can see how they dont look right. Also, the 330 markers, RF is on the inside of the foul pole, LF is on the outside, they used the same image on both RF and LF! Oedit would be so much nicer if you could add or even just duplicate, but until then we work with what we have. I will update the progress as it comes along, hopefully this is not a dead end road I am on. Pictured Above: HH2K1 Dodger Stadium
bigbully
I know this doesn't apply to the fence but... I currently use a Dodger Stadium mod now (good but done early on). I don't know if you could use some of these images or not but just thought I'd make you aware of it (if you weren't already). http://www.mvpmods.com/pafiledb/pafiledb.p...file&id=166 Thank you again for taking on Chavez Ravine! CaliColts
Good News! Looks like the outfield wall is going to be possible, I am going to start the layout of the images as soon as I can get some good looks at what they have at the Stadium this year. Its going to take a while for this Mod to be released as I am planning on making quite a few changes around the park. But I am getting better at Oedit, so hopefully it wont take too long. I will update and post pics when available.

CaliColts
OK, I have had time to work on the stadium in Oedit, and should be able to get all the graphics going now. Heres a list of changes that are being made/going to be made: 1. Outfield/Infield walls (Yes, all the outfield wall, long as I can get proper images) 2. Scoreboard (will be alot more realistic) 3. Diamondvision (again, more realistic) 4. All ads around stadium (also adding ad board to right side of field) 5. Lower/Reshape Pavilion roof and fix retired numbers (#'s are too small) 6. Press Box/Club level (Yes, EA, there is a press box at the Stadium) 7. Dugout roof/interior. (Realistic) 8. Inside stadium concourse details. (maybe a Dodger Dog stand?) 9. CF speakers/glare screen. 10. Background (Not bad, but room for improvement) 11. Add steps to walkways around stadium. 12. Move/edit/delete trees (not palms) behind Pavilion(way too big, bright and too close) 13. Edit grass and some other textures around stadium. 14. Enhance spectators. 15. Add video boards under Diamondvision and Scoreboard. 16. Anything else I see or get suggested to me. These changes will hopefully enhance the experience of playing at one of the most picturesque stadiums in baseball, anyone who has been to Chavez Ravine will likely appreciate these enhancements. EA did a halfway decent job and now thanks to Oedit, I can complete what they started. It will take a while but I cant play the game until I get a new controller, so I should have time. This will be my last post in this thread, next update will move to Works In Progress and hope to have some screens by then.
