There are updated rosters for 2k17 - a lot of them if you just look at the download section. Try that now. And no, the rosters made for 2k17 are not for use in 2k11. To piggyback on Y4L, yes, there are rosters made for 2K17, but they aren't complete and need adjustments, as I found most to have errors in regards to players being on the wrong teams. Player movement is fast and furious in MLB, you'll be surprised how often players get called up, sent down, put on the DL, DFA'd etc.... You'd probably be better off to wait until the mod comes out, for a truly accurate roster, unless you are just playing in 'play now' mode. I wouldn't recommend them for season or franchise mode.
