Hey Smart88..thanks for the help before...Listen I got a new one!

Now I have replaced the Manager dat. file as you said. (from cd)

And what I did was I stayed away from the MVP EDITOR and did my editing through the game itself....Took oh..about 2 1/2 hours and started to create my team...

Well I saved of course...shut down ...did a lil cooking and when I Fired up MVP 2005...guess what??

No created players. No edited players...nothing! 3 hours work gone...so I am going to put 2005 away for awile...I am at a lost

I had the kerms one and I was able to edit the players while in the game. Then I downloaded this one and when I try to edit players in the game, It crashes when I his 'edit' Now even when I put it back to default rosters this happens *sigh*

Oh...well I did not download that one...I'm not crashing to the desktop but non of my edited or created players are being saved......

Maybe I should just re-install and not load Kerm's Roster....Anyone having a problem editing within the game with Kerm's Roster?

I also have Kerm's roster. I tried the following:

- Created a dynasty and edited a player - restarted the game and information was saved.

- went into the main roster manager (off the main menu) and edited a player. Saved the roster. Restarted the game and checked the roster again and the changes weren't retained. However, I had to load the saved file...then I saw the changes I had made.

It doesn't appear to be an issue with Kerm's roster.

try reinstalling the game, and then download the rosters again.

I've been using my rosters since Sunday and haven't noticed any crashes, execpt when i try to save in owner mode w/o replacing the manager.dat file.

Have you tried to load the .sav file. If you do in-game editing make sure that when you're done to go to "save roster" and then when you want to load them up again click on "load roster" and select the name of the roster you saved.

Hey Smart88 I am hoping you can bail me out here...(again)

I have some mods...(camera view...plus things like overlays...) I don't want to reinstall things..I am using Kerms update roster #3. I have started editing players in game not MVP-EDITOR, but when I do go to MVP- EDITOR I can't find this roster.

I get an old roster without the updates I have made withing game... :(

So should I do the Manager. dat thing...re-install MVP-EDITOR or drive a tac hammer into my head?

I really don't want to re-install the game again....Also there is another Roster out there by "llmac" that has fixed CRASH issues..should I download this ?

Okay, if I understand correctly, you downloaded Kerms Default Roster and installed it. Then you went into the game and used the edit feature to edit players and do some transactions and saved it. If thats the case, then it's impossible to edit .sav (your roster save) files in mvpedit. If you want to edit kerms roster in MVP Edit then click on the import button, browse to your mvp baseball 2005datadatabase folder and then click ok.

Yes, unless you want to wait until later today when i will release version 1.1 of my roster (all I have to do is create about 25 more players) that should fix all crash issues now that rglass has released mvpedit 2005.3, thanks rglass.

Again... here we go Should I re-install the game and all my mods?

first you should try to load the files into mvpedit and then exporting them, if that doesn't work than you should reinstall the game.
