magic6
Hey guys, just browsing through the rosters and was wondering where Tim Stauffer for the Padres is at? I believe he is one of the top pitchers in their organization, if not all of baseball. Also the third pick in the 2003 draft. Am I missing something here? MaddiesDaddy
Is it just me or does anyone else have legendary players in the FA pool? :? every version has had this. if you use MVPedit and filter on players who's birthday is < or = to 1/1/1960 you will see a lot of legends players not just on the Legends and Heros teams but in the free agent pool. the lone exception is Julio Franco on the Braves. I just delete all of them...except those listed on the Legends and Heros teams.

smart88
Whoa, Odalis Perez throwing heat THAT hard?!? That's not like him... he's usually in the 88-92 range with his fastball... so I really doubt that he hit 95 on the gun (although when he was first with the Dodgers, his fastball was consistently in the low 90's...) And yes, Jason Repko's got an amazing arm. Just as good as just about any power arm in the game, and has the accuracy to boot. If you watched the game yesterday he was anywhere from 93-
wolfy6finger
First off great job, I went through the Cardinals organization (my fave team) quickly and notice a few things for the next release. Cal Eldred should be a RP (He has started a game in a few years) Carmen Cali should be a RP (He is Izzy's future replacement) Chris Gissell should be an SP Brennan Ryan (A) should be Brendan Ryan Andy Cavazos (AA) should be an SP & Nick Stocks (A) should be a RP I also do believe Nerio Rodriguez is no longer on the team. I have to double-check that. And I couldn't find 1B Billy Becher in any of there minor leagues. I would replace him w/ 1B Mike Ferris If Nerio Rodriguez is not in system, I would put in SP Eric Haberer as a replacement. Oh, I don't know if you guys used the Lahman Database or not, but if you did Robinson Cancel & Mike Mahoney (there's two in Lahman's) have Career Stats. Scott Seabol also has career stats (1 AB w/ Yankees in '99) But in honestly a great job. EDIT: Nerio Rodriguez is with Memphis, should be an SP though ANOTHER EDIT: According to Tony3's ID List, Robinson Cancel has an ID # of

mustangchang
I got a minor problem with these rosters, when I try to change CF Christopher Walker on the Daytona Cubs to a RF his last name disapperes so just Christopher shows up so thats weird. And also West Tenn Diamond Jaxx OF Matt Murton isnt even in these roster hes one of the Cubs top prospects and is absolutly tearing up AA. Other then that these rosters are great . myk13
Which is better ... playing MVP on a PC or on Xbox? Which is easier to mod .... I imagine the pc version? i dont have a modded xbox but i do have the game for both PC and x-box and i love the pc version better. I just bought the PC version about 3 days ago but the modding and things you can do is just unbelievable. It also depends on your video card i guess on whether which version of the game you will like it on. I have a really high end high definition laptop thats designed for movies and things like that so my video card is awesome and the game just looks great. I would also guess that the PC version would be easier to mod.
lineshot
Hypno - I see that you didn't get the Milwaukee changes I sent you in this version. There are a lot of changes that need to be done on the Milwaukee roster which actually does have some players with fake names. I sent these changes last week (5/4) to llcmac. I also sent them to you asap yesterday as you asked. Too bad they didn't get in this version. I would hope that a new version comes out very soon with these changes, since the Milwaukee roster does have fake names. It would be great to get a 2.1 version with all of the updates you currently have that need to be done (MIL, BOS, ATL) in a day or two. Also, it would be so much easier for me to just send you an .mbe file with the players I already created so you didn't have to....but alas, I don't have your e-mail address. This .mbe file has already been sent to llcmac - last week. Once again, here are the changes that need to be done on the Milwaukee roster - there are a LOT of them: Milwaukee Update: ML Made the changes - looks good! What did he eat some of Barry's Wheaties or McGwire's Cheerios? Two weeks ago The Big Unit was throwing and the Yankee Stadium gun had readings of like 99 mph and YES network had sub-90's. Use your "common sense" radar when looking at radar readings. Perez and Mulder do not throw that fast. Low 90s tops for both. Now that the new release is out, Please, Please, Please post corrections on pitch types and pickoff aptitude with a source. Stamina can be corrected, but if you quote a CG this year as your source, that won't work. You have to build up some sort of credibility before you can say Chris Carpenter throws a wicked split because "I saw it with my own eyes". Very few are there yet. wolfy6finger
REMOVE Moises Piters - fake Carlos de la Cruz - fake Kade Johnson - released Rigo Beltran - fake Sam Narron Ben Ford - ? Adrian Hernandez or move to AAA Piters, Cruz & Beltran are not fake names Beltran used to be on Milwaukee, he is now in Mexican League. Piters is a FA. De La Cruz is w/ Brevard County Manatees (Washington Low Class-A; team not in game) Also, I know Narron/Ford are real player(s), but according to MLB.com they are both FAs
poonani
If i could make a reccomendation, i think it would be helpful to edit the salaries of many of the players from AAA down. The system ive used when editing at least the Yankees: Top Tier single A - 6 years - 300k Bottom Tier single A - 6 years - 100k Top Tier double A - 5 years - 300k Bottom Tier double A - 5 years - 100k Top Tier triple A - 4 years - 300k Bottom Tier triple A - 1 year - 200k. Keeping in mind that minor leaguers are free agents when 6 years are up in the minors, and players who successfully make it to the majors get pay raises after 3 years in the majors (via arbitration). What i mean by bottom tier triple A guys, is guys who are more like journeymen triple A guys who were signed to fill spots (and are not prospects). I think a system like this would not be hard to implement (a little bit time consuming), and would make the dynasty mode work alot better (there would be much less player movement below AAA (and force teams to let their minor leaguers develop and not just let them walk after a year) Also for guys in the majors who are in the majors and do not have listed salaries online, it would be helpful to make their salaries 300k and have the year be the # of years left until they are eligble for arbitration. Therefore, if theyve played 1 full year in the majors already, make it 300k & 2 years
lineshot
OK - if Piters and Beltran are not fake, then they haven't been in the Brewer system for some time now. Ben Ford hasn't been around for awhile either. Cruz is on the roster, though I don't think he's a prospect. Brevard Co. is actually Milwaukee's high A team and are in the game. I got a lot of my info from Brewerfan.net which has to be one of the best, if not the best, ML baseball site on the net. I was just trying to get what it seems are the best prospects in the Milwaukee system in this roster set. If none of the changes above are going to be made in a future release, that's fine, I can change the Brewers myself - already have all the info. Just wanted to help get the best roster possible. Hypno - would it be possible to get a list of teams that have yet to be updated, not to crack on anybody, just so we know and can fix them ourselves or know what we're waiting for in the next release? Not sure if you're going to make any more of the suggested changes for Milwaukee, but it looks like BOS and ATL still need updates done. Any others??? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! wolfy6finger
Lineshot, just trying to help. That's kind of funny though on Brevard County, if go to mlb.com it has them under the Brewers, but once I go to the Manatees website, it says Washington Nationals....hmmmm! Yeah I knew Ford/Narron used to play for them (that's why they are FA), same w/ the other 2 guys Beltran has actually pitched in the Majors

Thanks! lineshot- This is a public roster, so I don't think Hyp or llcmac have a problem with you sending or posting your suggestions. We expect a Brewer fan to know them better. Just remember they are Suggestions. As for your second post, this was never intended as the end all update. The Red Sox and Braves? See the post below from 3 pages back. Seeing the trend of people expecting perfect rosters because of roster helpers and whatnot, the Braves and Red Sox are NOT revised in this version. In fact, I missed Hyp by a couple minutes, so they'll be included in 2.1 whenever they're released...speculated to be a week or so. Also, working on the PS2 has some obvious disadvantages, so I was happy to submit the changes when I did. In a week, feel free to critique those two teams...you'll have plenty of changes to observe as most of Myrtle Beach has white guys with face 14 or stuff like that! In the meantime, I'll be testing both clubs more until they're included in a roster update. Unless it's a roster move from now till then, you'll probably be doubling up my efforts. Edit: On this thread, I tweaked every pitching staff and posted THREE or FOUR season sims for each. Please don't sim one season and post like you found the Holy Grail of mistakes. The game is too variable to take ONE season sim as evidence of a blatant, material mistake.
