cubsfaninfla
thanks to all who made these rosters possible. if some cant appreciate them...screw 'em. Exactly......I love the work, and even if there is a couple flaws, it's better than having s*** loads of fake players.
jhath
and seriously... how am i gonna know if some kid from a single A team thats not part of my organization is black on the game and supposed to be white.. if you know that, you have too much time on your hands and should be doing all of this yourself... i rarely play minor league games anyways... ill never notice those types of errors lol
endeavor
*frustrated sigh* i cant figure out how to get this to work...ive put the files in the data/datebase folder, but nothing happens when i open the game still  help please!! it asked you to overwrite the files in the database folder? If so, you already have them, so then you would open MVPEdit, and "hit" import, and navigate it to the data/database folder. Name it anything you like, and there you go. Make sure you "hit" EXPORT navigate it to the database folder, IT WILL ASK TO OVERWRITE, "hit" ok, and done, open the game, hit edit, and you have the rosters. There won't be a file in the LOAD ROSTER category, UNLESS you save the rosters in game.
HypnoxXx
Its not that I think people who want every last A ball player to look right are selfish or obsessed, you guys who are kind of like "geeze look at all the mistakes" need to realize the effort and time we spent creating these guys. (A) When making all these AA and A guys, llcmac did the best he could but ultimately his goal was to get these rosters done in a fashionable time for everyone. ( Not every official AA or A team website has pictures up for their players. Regardless llcmac still one upped the "slap on names" approach by slapping on heights, weights, jersey #s, birthdays and ratings based on scouting reports he found for a lot of those guys. So there are quite a few mistakes, I dont think it's the end of the world. Also, since so many people seem to have issues installing the DAT files, I'm going to release the future updates in .mbe format.
endeavor
So there are quite a few mistakes, I dont think it's the end of the world. Not at all. This is a fantastic update, so much work went into it, changes have virtually been made everywhere, and the stats seem very realistic in the testing I have done. Thanks to all the contributors again, I am sorry I couldn't give you as much help as I wanted, and I appreciate that some of my input was nevertheless considered. Great Job! 8)

Kev72As
Hey people let me ask you a question. When you install this roster do you have a picture for Prince Fielder on the Brewers AAA team? I was thinking that most players had photos but I just tried to install it but a few major leaguers and most minors don't have a photo. They have that blank player when they come up to bat or intro at the beginning of games.
jbmagicfan
dynasty question does cpu teams change there starting lineup and rotation order when playing in dynasty mode? or they go by what the ultimae roster 2.0 has set for lineup order and rotation? if so no biggie, i just goto mvpedit and fix some teams batting order and rotation order. but just curious before i do that. thanks

Andruw25
It has nothing to do with the rosters but what's he like? Down-to-earth guy or the straight opposite? Not really a cocky kid at all Totte, pretty mild-mannered from what I was exposed to. I met him and his father the day of the game and they were both thrilled that the Sox gave him a look with their first pick that year. He rolled up in a used, regular ol' car and was very polite and well spoken with my high school coach who's a bit of a legend in MA. Definitely confident, but not at all repulsive...carries himself well. Getting married soon too, so hopefully his career is on the upswing after tommy john surgery. Fun to root for that type of prospect IMO.
MLBCenter
Question for everyone: Okay, I downloaded the Barry Bonds and Kevin Millar cyberface that was made right after the game came out, so what do I need to do exactly to keep their cyerfaces in the game when I install these rosters? msdesq
Some changes for Detroit Tigers organization: Fernando Vina in the game on the AA roster, but he is on the DL and essentially retired. He is done for the year. Nobody expects him to return next year. I don't know how you want to deal with that. He hasn't officially retired. It might have something to do with his contract. He's not even on the Tigers 40 man roster. I might be inclined to delete him, maybe that's premature. From cbssportsline.com: "Viña's agent added that the veteran is not expected to play this season. The veteran might decide to call it a career. (Updated 03/15/2005)." Lino Urdaneta in the game on the AA roster as Closer, was released by the Tigers and currently playing for Rieleros de Aguascalientes (Triple A) in the Mexican League. In place of Urdaneta, I'd create Edwin Almonte, who is the only other pitcher from AA Erie not in MVP. I can't find much on him other than his current stats and personal info at http://www.seawolves.com/ Eric Beattie in the game as a pitcher on the A roster. I have no idea who he is. In his place I'd create Jordan Tata. Again, I don't know much about him other than he is pitching well this season. http://www.lakelandtigers.net/default.asp In the game the A team (Lakeland Tigers) is sort of a compilation of the Lakeland Tigers (the Tigers advanced A team) and the West Michigan Whitecaps, the Tigers other A affiliate. I don't have a problem with it. But it you care, the Whitecaps players in MVP are Andrew Kown (SP), Dusty Ryan ©, Wilkin Ramirez (3B), Josh Lee (1B), and Jeff Frazier (RF). Sorry I can't be more help. Otherwise, I think the Tigers organization looks great - very accurate. I applaud your work. Very nice and thank you for all of the hard work. msdesq
By the way, as I said, I don't have a problem with the A affiliate issue for the Tigers - Lakeland Tigers and West Michigan Whitecaps. I only mentioned that if you guys as the roster creators were interested. But for me, living in west Michigan, I am close to the Whitecaps, so it is fun to see these players in MVP. Again, great job. SeanC85
Two questions. (I haven't been able to download new update. I need to get my AR back from a friend) Is Rickey Henderson in the free agents? Are Jared Weaver and Stephen Drew in there somewhere?
icestorm
i dont know if any body has figured this out yet but a few months ago i was thinking of the connection between slugging perctentage and batting average and players contact and power ratings. i figured that if u divide a players avg. by 3.75 you get the contact ratings and that if you divide a players slug. pecentage by 6.25 you get there power rating. also players usually have 3 to 4 times as many at bats vs. righties than lefties so multiply vs rhp by 3 and add the lefty then divide by 4 to get the players batting avg or power rating etc

HypnoxXx
Injured Players that will be brought back up from AAA: Antonio Alfonseca, Jody Gerut, Rocco Baldelli, Armando Benitez, Joe Borowski, Nomar Garciaparra, Jose Valentin, Steve Trachsel and Rafael Soriano. The players who will be demoted to make room for their return are respectively as follows: Jim Crowell, Grady Sizemore, Chris Singleton, Al Levine, Jon Leicester, Ronnie Cedeno, Oscar Robles, Aaron Heilman and J.J. Putz. KNOWN Exceptions (and I don't intend to bring them up either): Tim Salmon, Bobby Madritsch, Sean Burnett, John Van Benschoten. Also I've just made the change to KC and Bob Schaefer is the new manager...
jbmagicfan
HypnoxXx thanks for the great roster and thanks for bringing up the injured players to the majors. quick question dynasty question does cpu teams change there starting lineup and rotation order when playing in dynasty mode? or they go by what the ultimate roster 2.0 has set for lineup order and rotation? if so no biggie, i just goto mvpedit and fix some teams batting order and rotation order. but just curious before i do that. thanks
Totte
does cpu teams change there starting lineup and rotation order when playing in dynasty mode? or they go by what the ultimate roster 2.0 has set for lineup order and rotation? The CPU doesn't make any changes to its lineup or rotation until at least after game one. I haven't noticed anything else but I might be wrong. HypnoxXx
Here's what I've noticed the CPU teams do in dynasty...They actually leave our rosters alone until there's an injury or a trade---then they automatically reset the rosters as if you clicked for the computer to do that thing (what its called slips my mind)...Then all hell breaks loose and they computer will cut guys, sign guys, call up guys, send down guys and change lineups and rotations. Which is a large reason why I dont really pay attention to lineups anymore, especially minor league lineups. I started a dynasty and for 2 games, the Cubs kept their rosters just as we'd made them. Then Derrek Lee got hurt, and the rosters got redone, with Garciaparra being promoted back up among other things...
jbmagicfan
HypnoxXx ok thanks i guess there no need to worry about having the lineup perfect for dynasty especially for cpu teams. just worry about your own human team when playing and set everything up while you play your dynasty i was going to say that Barry Bonds for LHP no dh is not in the starting lineup, he is on the bench on ultimate roster 2.0 but i guess it doesnt matter. so in conclusion when playing in a dynasty, just worry about your human team. set your lineup, rotation, etc and dont worry about the other cpu teams, because cpu teams will do there own thing with lineups and rotations in a dynasty. i guess there no need to go into mvpedit and make all teams lineup and starting rotation perfect for the majors and minors because it going to change a lot in a dynasty for cpu teams. if anybody is doing that, your wasting your time. :)
SeanC85
What did you use to determine the star potenial ratings. Tim Stauffer, one of the padres most promising pitchers and former first round pick has a 2 star rating, yet screw-up Matt Bush has a 3-star. I wouldn't mind Stauffer having a 3-star, but 2 stars?
