hunteroo2
what are you saying? Dude, we gave you a DETAILED description, of something so EASY to begin with, and you still say you don't have them? How is this possible?? And no, it wouldn't change anything if you were to re-install the game because it is still the same files that are being replaced. ALL you need to do is, move the files into the MVP2005/data/database folder, it will ask if you want to overwrite, YES you do. Then you open the game and it is there, it is possible that you have to click on reset rosters, but I never did that, sicne I used MVP edit.... ive done all of that...maybe my computer is just being retarded/possessed...
alcoholicstepfather
If you edit players outside of a dynasty it does affect contracts. If you edit them in a dynasty it does not.
endeavor
ive done all of that...maybe my computer is just being retarded/possessed... well, we gotta figure this out! maybe do re-install everything, so it is literally untouched. Install the 3 patches immediately after installing the game. download ultimate rosters 2.0, copy the files into the data/database folder. It will 100 % for sure ask you if want to overwrite to which you will reply YES. then you start the game, click manage rosters, create/edit player, and check out the new rosters. If you edit them in a dynasty it does not. right we've heard that...ok, and why?? are you saying if you edit the contracts themselves, of course it affects that, how logical. But he is saying that if you change clothing it affects contracts 8O

msdesq
these rosters kick ***!!! one mistake though: sean henn on the yankees triple A team is a white guy with blond hair...in these rosters hes black..... We've been over this a thousand times. Sean Henn is a black guy. But for some reason Steinbrenner and Torre made him a white guy with blond hair. I don't know why, but the rosters are correct. Have Torre change him.
Kelvarr
right we've heard that...ok, and why?? are you saying if you edit the contracts themselves, of course it affects that, how logical. But he is saying that if you change clothing it affects contracts 8O It's a bug. Whenever you edit a player outside of a dynasty or owner mode, their contract changes to match their attributes. When you edit while in owner mode or dynasty, it doesn't change.
Fiddy
so if i give a guy wristbands and a differant color glove outside of dynasty mode it will affect his contract? remember just gloves and stuff i dont touch attibutes.
MVPlover
"Pirates acquire outfielder Restovich"SAN FRANCISCO -- In an effort to fill the void created by Craig Wilson's recent hand injury, the Pirates acquired outfielder Michael Restovich from the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. baseballif
Awesome work on the rosters guys. I understand that there will be little things here and there that won't be correct, like a few skin tones here or there, but for how quickley you got this set out in the year, it is by far and away the best MVP roster I have seen for any year. Thanks for all the hard work.
endeavor
It's a bug. Whenever you edit a player outside of a dynasty or owner mode, their contract changes to match their attributes. When you edit while in owner mode or dynasty, it doesn't change. that makes sense, but not with clothing, thats the point, he said he wants to change some colors, and obviously that doesn't change a thing. And it is not a bug, becasue changing attributes should affect the salary, no question.
msdesq
I'd say that Henn is white assuming he's the guy right next to Randy Johnson in the top right corner. :? I was making a joke about the Sean Henn issue - as if the rosters have his skin tone right but real life is wrong - guess it wasn't that funny. Most of my jokes are not, but sometimes they get me through the day.

The original post was just oozing sarcasm and if you couldnt pick that up then well you obviously have bigger problems that sean henn's skin tone. And it is not a bug, becasue changing attributes should affect the salary, no question. Actually it is in fact a bug that no matter what you do to a player it will change their salary. try changing anything about alex rodriguez and his salary will drop like a rock. one little thing I dont get about your post is, why should editing a players atrributes affect his contract? lets say I wanted to give brian roberts a little more power say anywhere from 2-5. Does that mean that his salary should jump higher just because hes playing a little better?

Andruw25
so if i give A-Rod a differant color glove and give him wristbands it will change his contract? Bingo! For anybody that's been impatient in the past, now you see the value of these rosters...not just in all the work that's been put in them, but their ability to bypass this ridiculous glitch. How fun is a dynasty if all your prospects are making too much money just by naming them? If you so much as give Hanley Ramirez his proper name, the Sox won't be calling up a 300K prospect, he'll be making over a mil. If you name Barry Bonds on your own, like everyone would, the dropoff in his salary is monumental. So if you're a console idiot in particular like me, appreciate how much these rosters bring to the table. God forbid if we lost llcmac because people who can't do this on their own and can't even approach the quality criticize the hard work of others... abacusand13south
so if i give A-Rod a differant color glove and give him wristbands it will change his contract? Yes for instance I just went and checked using default ps2 rosters and any change to arod will take him from his 20+ mil a year to only 4 mil so yes it is a glitch and yes it is there. lilloreo
Hey guys, Does anybody know if these rosters came with any "preloaded" faces? Meaning that if you don't have the updates installed that the game will crash. I downloaded v 2.0, awesome btw then got a crash during the load screen of a game between the Cubs and Tigers. The only things installed on my game are UM's Reds & Cards & '04 Marlins unis., all stadiums, mlb ball & bats, and a glove pack from last year. Nothing even related to the Cubs or Tigers. Granted this happened @ 2am this morning after a 16 hour workday, so I didn't look into it. I've been at work all day racking my brain trying to figure out what it could be. Any suggestions? Don't know if one of the Cub or Tiger roster testers caught any problems? Please don't flame b/c my retardent skivies are in the wash!!!
