ok, I am beginning to think you might just not realize that they are updated? I know this sounds stupid, but did you check under SF, and is says J. Dowd and not Bonds? If so, hit RESET ROSTERS, if you still have Dowd, download "not-so-ultimate rosters 2.2" put that .mbe file in the MVPEdit folder and fire up MVP Edit. click open, select the .mbe file, it will load the rosters within MVPEdit. Now you click on Export, and navigate to the following folder:

MVPBaseball2005datadatabase....It will say that this exists, and if ya wanna overwrite, YES you do. Fire up MVP...That has GOT TO WORK mate!

yes it still says dowd when i restart them...if i could get mvp edit to actually work i would...i get a big long error message when i try opening it

type that file name "TABCTL32.OXC" into google. then go to one of the hits that comes up and download and install it. after that, mvpedit is golden.

(i went here: http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/suppo...me=TABCTL32.OCX )

OK, after a quick glance of the National League MLB rosters, here are the ones that should be changed (just suggesting):

CHICAGO

Todd Walker 2B (Primarily used as 2B, only played 5 games (in relief) at 1B in career)

Michael Barrett C

Jose Macias

Corey Patterson CF (Primarily used as CF)

Jason Dubois

Jerry Hairston Jr. 2B (1st position), OF (2nd position)

Chad Fox is missing....

I've looked at the readme file and searched here, but I just can't seem to figure it out.

Oh, and my rosters in the My Documents/MVP Baseball 2005/ are all in .sav format. I think they must be copied to .dat or something so MVPedit can read it. How do I do this, and why did it save it .sav? Did I download it wrong?

I also am curious as to when the version 2.2 will be available for download for ps2 / xport.

I have tried to download winrar and unzip/extract, etc. and it was not able to work. I went through all the steps and it was unsuccessful...

If ANYONE was able to get it to upload for ps2/xport, could you please email them to me: smilesgd@yahoo.com I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks and once again great job on these rosters everyone!

EDIT: SP Carlos Zambrano, from what I gather, needs his fastball upped to 95mph from 5mph. If anyone could go into MVPEdit first and make that available to anyone waiting here, that would be excellent!!

never woulda thought of that...that got it to work too, thanks you guys are awsome :D

I dont know if this was overlooked or EA just got it all wrong but Ichiros Hit chart is way off it should look like this in MVPEDIT:

Vs Right Handers:

LF/26 CF/44 RF/30

versus leftys looks okay and this is his hitting tendencies based on real life. And what is cool is I ran some tests with Ichiro and he will definetly hit just like real life with alot of infield base hits with it set this way, the other way they had it he was grounding out and hitting to the right side way too much. This is dead on accurate :)

Also Julio Mateo should have at least 60 stamina as he can go long and is the Spot Starter if need be (he will be starting in Joel Pineros spot next turn)

Mateo is probably the best and most consistent reliever of the Mariners year in and year out hes been going Long 5-6 innings at a time sometimes ive seen him out there 7 innings. ROn Villone has no buisness with more stamina then Julio Mateo, also Villone should be a RP not P.

Well looks like Seattle needs a catcher lmao Wiki Gonzalez is hurt and probably gone awile.

hmmm I wonder if they will Let Raul Ibanez play catcher since thats his true position and just call up Strong or Leone. We will see

umm...raul ibanez isnt a catcher...hes a left fielder/dh...he played first base when he first came up with seattle but that was a long time ago..oh and ive heard a lot that olivo is one of the fastest catchers in baseball, so why is he so slow still?!

RHP Danny Wright (ex-White Sox pitcher) is currently on the DL for the Tacoma Rainiers (Seattle Mariners AAA). In your roster, Wright is on the free agent list.

http://www.tacomarainiers.com/transactions.htm

5/05/05 Dan Wright SIGNED MINOR LEAGUE PLAYER CONTRACT. ASSIGNED TO TACOMA ROSTER. PLACED ON DISABLED LIST ON 5/06/05
