GamerPyle
umm...raul ibanez isnt a catcher...hes a left fielder/dh...he played first base when he first came up with seattle but that was a long time ago..oh and ive heard a lot that olivo is one of the fastest catchers in baseball, so why is he so slow still?! Um sorry to bust your bubble but he was a Catcher when he came to the Mariners. I wasnt studdering or mistyping Raul Ibanez was originally a Catcher when he came to the Big Leagues as a Mariner. In fact he is the Mariners emergency catcher and the past couple years as well. With that Mariner Avatar you should have known that if you are an Ms fan lol. :? True he hasnt started at catcher in a while but Hargrove already said as well as Melvin last year he is the emergency catcher cause of his experience behind the plate. krawhitham
24 hours people, quite being little children and wait 24 hours. The donors deserve something so they get the roster a day ahead of others, but to be honest they are beta testers. They have caught my screw ups a few times, it is better to have a few people tell me about the problems (the donors) instead of a 1000 people flooding my PM folder

If they do, no more conversions will be made I do not play the game on a console, and this conversion thing has gotten out of hand. I continue because people donate and I do not want to screw them. The one rule is you must not share the rosters, instead download them MVPlanet, when people start sharing rosters and uploading them to other sites they forget for some reason who made the rosters look at codejunkies, at least 5 rosters uploaded there are really from these guys, but others are taking credit

AI03
Were there significant changes made in the version 2.2 update? Specifically, were the changes that were noted in the "Att. IImac/Hynoxxx" made?

Andruw25
Just got 2.2 last night and I'm VERY pleased, with the Sox & Braves most notably. Thanks for taking the time to make all those long list of changes happen to both squads...certainly no small task. I know I made some mention of creating guys like Christian Lara for the BoSox and was wondering if they'd be included in a later update. Guys like Lara, Bono, Dobies, and Rozier for Boston really deserve to be there. I saw Atilano for MB and he looks phenominal. I'll continue to try and get more info on these guys and look for corrections going forward. Two small ones real quickly: Dustin Pedroia - wearing # 7 for Portland Charlie Zink throws a knuckleball and has the same Wakefield pitching delivery for all of his pitches. http://www.soxprospects.com/players/zink-charlie.htm Here's a great link talking about all the pitches he threw in college and how he adopted the knuckleball after Tiant endorsed him to the Sox and Wakefield mentored him. http://www.redsoxnation.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=40 The knuckle should be his premiere pitch, and the velocity on his fastball seems good as is. Interesting article by Rob Neyer in there also, who seems to love this kid. Here's the scouting report to create the knuckle and tweak his pitches. Looks like the sinker is more of a splitter and the curve may be a slider: Charlie Zink RHP…..24…..2002 FA Savannah College of Arts and Design Strengths: 63-71 MPH knuckle-ball and 84-88 MPH two-seam fastball. Deceptive delivery Weaknesses: Command Comments: He made the transition from conventional pitcher to a knuckle-baller in late-2002, and worked extensively with Tim Wakefield during spring training. A smallish-type pitcher, he didn’t show a lot of stamina or performance, despite a fastball topping-out at 94 MPH. His knuckle-ball moves well, as you would expect, and has toned-down the velocity of his fastball to make his arm speed more deceptive, but struggles with command and consistency from outing-to-outing... There is no way to project knuckle-ball pitchers, but his name should be tucked-away for future reference. Thanks guys for the great work, I'm diving into Portland Sea Dog games to play with Hanley and Pedroia!
miget33
Here are some problems I noticed in the 2.1 released not sure if this were changed in the 2.2 version. The AA team of Milwaukee had pitchers with picthes that trajectories that need to be changed. Dana Eveland-curveball and 2 seam fastball Glen Woolard-curveball Manuel Parra-2 seam fastball The next is found in their A ball team Josh Habel-2 seam fastball. The White Sox's minor league also have some problem pitchers. Ryan Meaux Chws AA 2sfb James Bullard Chws AA 2sfb Fabio Castro Chws A slider Fraser Dizard Chws A 2sfb Nikolas Lubisich Chws A slider Charles Haeger Chws A slider Wesley Whisler Chws A 2sfb Daniel Haigwood Chws A 2sfb and curveball
moylkell
Anybody have word on Cubs' minor leaguer Nic Jackson?? I've seen the guy play, know he's been in the system a couple years, but I can't seem to track him down on any of the Cubs' current minor league affiliates. Is he injured? Was he released? I've checked just about damn near everything and can't come up with an answer. Also, to those of you who are Cubbies fans out there, how do you rate these rosters? Is there anybody missing? Anybody fake that needs to be removed? So far I've been very impressed; I just have questions on a few of the players. Also, for those of you close to the minor league affiliates, are there any specific attribute changes I should make to my rosters, and what would you suggest would be a good batting order or two (and pitching rotation, as I don't know much about the rotations abroad, just the Boise Hawks team here representing the Cubs). Thanks.

wolfy6finger
Actually this wasn't my idea...llcmac brought it up and I agreed w/ him Cruz, the point is he hasn't played it, so why should he be eligible for it Dubois, I only put his name on the list to remind myself to check on him. Valentin I wasn't sure on him, but that's still spring training he played Griffey Jr. has barely, if ever, played RF Note: HOUSTON Is just Tavares, the other 3 guys are LOS ANGELES. I think when I got back from lunch, that were I had left off 'cause I know Drew plays CF, he also played RF so either position works (and vice versa for Bradley) Utley should of been IF (not UTIL) he's also played some 3B in '04 Seriously why would LaRussa play Pujols at any other position. also what do you mean Pujols has rarely played 1B, he has been a fulltime 1B for 2 or 3 years. Get your facts staright and seriously Jim Edmonds has not played 1B basicaly since he has come to St. Louis (atleast in the last 5 years w/ McGwire and Pujols manning that position and probably wont in the near future.) The reason I and llcmac thought there needed to be changes. Was, for example, in a few simulated seasons, Pujols would be playing 3B (w/ Scott Rolen on the bench for an entire season) That makes no sense. There was other examples that this happened that why we thought if elimnate a couple of this UTIL, solely OF/IF and/or 2nd position it solve this problem. Texasrangers13
The only thing I see as needing a change that I can think of of the top of my head is that Darren Oliver (Iowa AAA) no longer throws the slurve, and his delivery should be #1...
