A few observations from reading the last 8-9 pages

Hypno and llmac, keep up the good work

jhath, bein a cards fan, i normally don't agree with cub fans, but kudos to you for standing up for AgentQ

AgentQ, just don't pay attention to the children, just because they've been around computers forever and don't have to go to work and take care of family, they just assume everyone should spend 20 hours a day sitting at their pc's

Tribetime and Gamer, you are both imature ignorant punks

and in conclusion, Hypno and llmac, you guys should start your own board somewhere, there's some kick *** free hosting out there for boards, this place is a damn joke, the kids that are on here all the time are sarcastic, mean spirted and all around jerks

ty saintbernard.... i was beginning to think i was all alone out there....

I have Patch 3 but don't see Phillip Hughes in AA or Marcos Vechionacci in A.

These id changes are for the Ultimate Rosters, EA may have allocated Vechionacci and Hughes ids but they won't be in the vanilla rosters until they have played in the majors.

Getting back to some suggestions...

Here are some of my O's ratings suggestions:

Brian Roberts - LHP Contact 75, LHP Power 59, RHP Contact 86, RHP Power 65

Rafael Palmeiro - LHP Contact 57, LHP Power 62, RHP Contact 69, RHP Power 65 (All 4 numbers lowered, he can hardly hit good lefties anymore, and has mostly warning track power at this stage in his career)

Javy Lopez - Fielding 65, Range 70, Arm 80 Acc, 85 Power (still has a good arm for runners, but he just can't seem to block anything in the dirt anymore)

Jay Gibbons - LHP Contact 58, LHP Power 64, RHP Contact 63, RHP Power 67 (is very Palmeiro-like in his numbers for now, he has more pop than Raffy does)

David Newhan - 84 Speed, 80 Baserunning Ability, Fielding 55, Range 59, Arm 55 Power, 70 Acc (Saw him 'race' against Brian Roberts during warm-ups, stayed step for step with him until the end, hustles every hit ball out, can't field worth a lick, arm is okay at best for accuracy, but very weak for power)

Geronimo Gil - Fielding 85, Range 80, Arm 85/85 (is a better defensive catcher than Lopez at this point.)

Rodrigo Lopez - Fastball should be 89 mph, Change up should be 80

Erik Bedard - Come on, more than 1 star career potential for this guy. He is one of the next big aces. I would say 3 stars, 4 if you are generous

Hope this helps some, guys.

i'm glad to see a huge roster update like this, but to me it seems like the oakland a's organization was looked over quite a bit.

looks to me like most of the guys have the same ratings as the defaults and the minor leagues are covered much better in rev's updates.

sorry to rag on you guys but i like to see my a's covered.

good job so far though.

Rollie...we've been asking for organizational suggestions for quite some time now...Some teams, such as your A's, just didn't get any feedback and it shows...Not much we can do about it if no one gives us the facts, we arent major league scouts over here...

Joel Guzman (AA - Dodgers) should have his 2nd position changed from 1B to RF. According to Baseball America, Guzman will more than likely be moved from SS to RF in the future but until then we should probably keep him at SS...but RF is definitely a better fit for his 2nd position.

Also, on the Royals, Mike MacDougal's curveball should probably break more left to right than 12-6...at least an 11-5 but I'm thinking more 10-4. He can't control it for **** (just like his other pitches) but it definitely moves seeing as when he's on it will go from being a headhunter to a middle of the plate strike (as opposed to when he's off when it goes from middle of the plate to 2 feet wide of the catcher).

...seems like there was something else i was going to suggest but i guess when it comes to me i'll lay it down then

there is a big error anybody named Christopher, you cant edit anything about the player it deletes the last name. When you go to edit it appears that the last name is gone cuz for name its "C.", if you exit the screan last name is still there.

Brandon McCarthy just pitched versus the Cubs yesterday. He has a 90 - 94 mph fastball, a nasty curveball, and a decent changeup. He pitched very well in his first MLB start. He is also skinny as a rail and wears high socks. His number is 74 with the White Sox.

k. ishii of the Mets throws an 85mph change up in the game and his fastball is only 87.

that cant be right? can it?

maybe check mvp edit and take a peak at him real quick.

Yankees (AA Thunder)

Mark Smallenberg = Marcos Vechionacci, SS

Russell Cho = Phil Hughes, P

Mike Francis = Eric Duncan, 3B

from

http://www.mvpmods.com/faq/index.php?sid=5...&artlang=en

Tony, I just realized that in EA's roster, Mark Smallenberg plays 1B.

OOPs, just checked and saw it is Chris Smallenberg playing first base. Mark does play SS.

Couple Quick Questions/Suggestions (I don't have version 2.3 or even the game in front of me, so please bear with me...):

1) Brian Dopirack (sp?) - CHC prospect. I saw it mentioned somewhere (I think on OS) that his stats need to be raised because his contact/power #'s are only in the 20s.

2) Craig Biggio default speed is around 60, should it be higher?

3) How about Lance Berkman's? I believe his is 56...

4) Is KC RP Andy Sisco 6'10"?

Also, just out of curiosity, is there possiby a bug/error in MVPEdit? I know it's a GREAT program, but what ends up happening is that some random players start throwing only 5mph FB and null rosters show up...

Thanks for your time.

...and i remember what i was going to suggest earlier:

on the Royals AAA, Kyle Snyder is listed as a SP but i think he should be RP. the royals have said they would like to eventually use him as a starter as he was in 2003 but so far he has been used for just relief appearances this year (6 appearances, 0 GS, 13 IP; on the DL now yet again)

he didn't pitch in 2004 due to injury (torn labrum) which is the reason they are using him in relief now. until he shows a better ability to avoid injury he won't sniff a starting job.

Brayan Pena just got called up for the Braves since Eddie Perez went down. The kid is hitting a robust .417 (leading the International League) and has hit at all levels...probably merits a rise in contact. Doesn't have much pop, but he's only struck out 6 times this whole year while playing in Richmond.

A slight revision to Brayan Pena since my original recommendation leaves him slightly too dark:

Face 10, Hair Color 1, Hair Style 1, Facial Hair 1

Everything else, equipment, stance, etc, looks great.

Also, since Pena and Davies are only up with the club due to injuries, here are their MLB numbers if you're using the Braves or see them called up in a dynasty:

Davies: #26

Pena: # 8

In regards to the Wichita Wranglers, Rudy Gomez was in UR 2.2 but has disappeared from 2.3. He is still playing for the Wranglers this year so should probably be added back into the roster set.

(In UR 2.2 he was on the R. Cucamonga Quakes...the Wranglers signed him as a free agent earlier this year)
