Stix
I think it was Chris Young had a bent stance. It was in the Batting Stances Thread.
wolfy6finger
I have caught up on all fixes/changes/suggestions thus far. I am, however, going out of town until the middle of next week. So here's what I need: Totte: I'm hoping you'll keep up with the changes and be ready with a new list once I announce my return. Also, if you could keep going with those star power fixes (wasnt sure if it were an ungoing thing or not) that'd be great. I need one more volunteer, and the job will go to the first person to post here asking for it (that way I dont have several people working on it for naught)...I need someone to go through 2.35 and list ALL the players with the Bent stance. I saw that someone else was supposed to have it on an old post (if anyone remembers who, chime in), otherwise, with the exception of Rickey Henderson, I will eliminate the bent stance from version 2.4. After I've done all this, I will begin work on fixing lineups and any errors. Then we should see a release. I will also make sure a version 2.5 is released after the trading deadline. After that, however, I may be looking to turn the project over to someone else. Stay tuned.... I dont think there's any more bent stances...in mvpedit, I used the "find" function and set a "field" w/ batting stance - bent. When I hit find, it only found Ricky HEnderson....but I can double check on this when I go home in about 30 minutes
wolfy6finger
Instead of waiting to go home, I just remember I had mvpedit here at work, too (So, I downloaded 2.35) And did "Find"...only Rickey Henderson has it (Chris Young's is generic, not bent) I PM'd just in case you dont get this
big shmooz
The thing is, if you release the rosters with non-standard cyberface id's, kraw has to go through and change them all back to default before he converts to xbox/ps2, any pc player who does not have your particular configuration of models.big will have to do the same (or download your 500mb file and use it). Perhaps there could be a alternative version of 2.4 with the cyberface ids and accompanying models.big for people who want it. But having the non-default cyberface ids in the 'standard' version of 2.4 will cause many problems for many people. I understand what you are saying & yes, I agree. There could be 2 versions. If you like I will send you the one I have as an .mbe file. I have your e-mail.
big shmooz
Yadier Molina actually does have a bent stance in real life, but I think that Bernie Williams is also good as a stance for him.

It'll be waiting for you by the time you return. The star power list is something I started because I felt it was neccesary. I'll try and finish all the teams this weekend to have it ready for 2.4. GamerPyle
The face numbers shouldnt be up to these guys if you want the faces then you must edit the numbers yourself with MVPEdit for each and every face you want to have. Thats more work for them and more chances of problems, When they can concentrate on the roster not Artwork and Eye Candy. :wall: If your smart enough to figure out to get faces on then heck you should be smart enough to make the simple changes necessary to see those face then huh? I think you are missing the point here. Let me explain. This is about helping people so that they don't have to do hundreds of hours of work that I did already. It's not about people knowing HOW do to it. Roster work that I have done for the game plus uniforms & cyberfaces. I have sat & watched games over & over watching each player & what equipment he wears. etc... & have put it into the game. I have done research on players body builds & weight & heitght & have corrected loads of mistakes, such as players being listed as 170 pounds in the game when in fact they are 210 pounds. I have corrected body types. I have corrected jersey numbers. I have corrected batting stances. I have corrected equipment they wear. & all this is in the rosters alone. Then of course I have installed uniforms (loads of them) I have installed cyberfaces (all of them) & most of all, the game works. No crashes. I am not saying this to get on your case. I am simply trying to help people so if they want this in their game, they don't have to sit down & do all that work. Let me put it this way. Let's say you wanted these things in the game. Would you not rather just downloading 2 files than sitting there doing hundreds of hours of work to get to the point I am already at? That's all this is about. Helping people. Anyway, I think that releasing it as 2 rosters as Hory suggested is best. (with the one from my version as a download together with the models.big file) Since then, people have a choice. If you don't want the uniforms & cyberfaces & the corrections of the rosters, you don't have to download it. & if you do want it, then you can download it. It's all about helping others here in the community. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. (probably worth less than that)

(probably worth less than that) I don't think you get it- Unless its from the Current rosters makers they don't want it. I am not bashing anyone here- just saying thats how it is. I have had a set based on v2.35 with all the changes on here (many of which i posted), most the 2005 round 1 draftees and changes based on real life splits and haven't had a single PIM. I mean its all ready to go just sitting here. I haven't released it in a post or on a site because i am waiting for hypoXxX approval but i would pass out a few via email or PM so i can get feedback to improve it further. Even if you thought it sucks it would be something to play until 2.4 came out- Same goes for the set Big Shoomz made. Don
big shmooz
i think its a good idea.. just make sure the roster files from each option are identical That is a good point. They are in fact so except perhaps the free agents. I had to move a couple of players to the free agent section since there was simply no room on any of the minor league clubs. I basically did this by manuvering players a bit & moving players from the particular "A club" of that team to the free agent market (I hope that I am explaining myself clearly.) I also had to delete 2 free agents to do this since the number became 257 & the game allows only 255 free agents. So I deleted the two top players on the free agent list. Andruw25
Thanks to a Sox day off, I get to watch the PawSox and the Durham Bulls. Changes from watching: Dustin Pedroia is hitting second in the lineup and wearing # 20. This guy is flying through the system and was among the league leaders in AA in hitting at around .323 off the top of my head. He is a contact monster and his numbers should reflect that. Hardly strikes out, always on base, an Eckstein hybrid IMO. I would seriously up his contact by atleast 10 each, and even at that he's a better pure contact hitter than Hanley. Chip Ambres should have Generic 2 as his batting stance. Also, as a AAA all star there's no way he should be one of the worst players on the team. He's hitting just above .300 for the season and is one of the best hitters for Pawtucket hitting in the 3 hole. I'd up both contact numbers to the low to mid 50's, hike his baserunning ability from 55 to 75 and put fielding at a 70. Joey Gathright (TB) bounces the bat of his back shoulder and is straight up and down. Give him Boone for a perfect stance. What a special leadoff hitter this guy can be! Justin Sherrod needs low socks and a stance of generic. Alejandro Machado looks good with Ortiz's stance. BJ Upton (TB) looks great with A. Jones's stance. Roscosuper
Hypnoxxx, I don't mean to play devils advocate, but I am curious......I think it would be a great idea to release the rosters with the models.big file....however, I am having a ton of trouble keeping the game from crashing when I install cyberfaces.....sometimes they work...sometimes they don't....I can't seem to find a way to keep files from becoming uncompressed.....it's a very daunting task to keep going back and forth and back and forth....I would declare you a god among men if your release goes off with out a hitch....but I must ask you if you are having any problems with the cyberfaces??....if not, may I ask you, your method of installing them?.... Thanks

Thanks There are 2 things to do & the problem will stop. !) only install one set of cyberface at a time. Do it manually, not with the installer. (use eagraph.exe to install the cyberfaces) Then compress it using biggui. (do not rebuild) 2) after you do this make the models.big file "read only". To do this right click on the file & then click on "properties". Then check the box that says read only. (if you ever need to add more cyberfaces, simply uncheck this before you do so & after finishing installaion & compression, re-check the box to read only.) That's it. (though you may have to start with a fresh previously uncorrupted models.big file though for this to work properly.)

big shmooz
Not sure if this has been posted before but Lee Gardner of Tampa Bay in the minor league system, (Montgomery Biscuits) in this roster has his last name spelled incorrectly.
