I'm not trying to be a jerk, just some stuff I noticed. I'd think dropping some guys that are injured down to A ball or something like that would work. With the Yankees, you could just move some of these guys around to fix it.

I don't think you're trying to be a jerk at all man,

Having No DL is a problem with the design of the game and a tough decision for the roster makers to make on how to handle it

all we can hope is that it is done consistently across all teams

the problem with moving the guys down to A is that the cpu will call up injured guys like pavano, bonds etc immediately in a dynasty anyway, but moving them down to A you get more accurate MLB lineups which is definitely a good thing.

They get put back when the next roster version comes out. It says this roster is accurate as of August 1. Of August 1st Nunez plays 3rd, Rodriguez plays LF, Mabry plays RF.

Still great rosters though. Played a Yankee game, tons of fun with Leiter.

My last gripe, I promise

The lineup, in general, should go

Jeter

Cano

Sheffield

Arod

Matsui

Giambi

as the top 6 whenever they are playing. I'm going to fix it personally, but thought people might want to have a heads up. Also, Bernie has gone back to being the everyday CF.

My policy with injuries is that if an MLB-player goes down and is placed on the DL, he stays on the MLB-roster. I'm not keen on dropping down guys to A-ball beacuase of that. Let's say you're starting a dynasty - would you play Scott Rolen in AAA a few games first to see what he's made of or do you call him up straight away? But maybe that's just me...?

I already adressed that, the same way that Madden does. If you are updating these rosters every month or so, it wouldn't be outside of the realm of believability to drop the guys ratings down when he is injured and bring them back up when he is healthy. Sounds realistic to me.

And tell me, where is Nomar right now? He's an everyday MLB starter, but he's playing minor league ball right now because of his injury. So, the Cubs are trying him out in AAA for a few games, and NOT bringing him up right away.

I don't think that the MVP series engine works that way. If a player who is hurt and has their ratings dropped, then the player does not recover from the ratings drop as what happens in madden. In Madden, the player, when 100%, fully recovers from an injury which the engine observes the injury and replenishes the attributes to the level prior to the injury. The MVP engine recognizes attributes for each player initially prior to starting a season or dynasty, and does not consider injuries, therefore views injured players as players with mediocre/common level attributes.

That's a decision you take as a manager, not as a roster creator.

Anyway, I'll adress some issues stated and release v.2.51 this afternoon. Probably around 4 pm ET.

yes, alan embree has a generic face. the yankees have a clean cut policy and he is now clean shaven. if you guys could fix that, :wtg: !

I suppose the clean cut policy goes for Shawn Chacon too?

totte, thanks to you and the rest of the gang for your work on these rosters, truly amazing, and i agree with you how how you handle injured players, rosters should be set the way they would be if the players were healthy, and team managers can call up and send down whomever, one other small thing, Dustin Pedroia should be on Pawtucket not Portland and Hanley Ramirez should be on Portland not Pawtucket. keep up the good work.
