MarkB
2.52 will be uploaded tonight. I'm gonna take it for one last test drive in 5 minutes. New additions since 2.51 follows: - The Yankees sign Dennys Reyes (LHP). This is the last update for about a week. I'm gonna take some time off from the roster editing to start a Padres dynasty. I'm a perfectionist and I'll tell you - if I start a dynasty...the roster is g-r-e-a-t! Totte, Totte, Totte! You should know better than this, my friend! Reyes was never officially signed by the Yankees. He only agreed in principle, but didn't actually get anywhere close to signing a contract. He decided not to take the offer as he was concerned about his back, so he never was signed. Just happened to load up UR 2.53 just now to note some changes and I see you had him in A Tampa. Now do people see why I am so adamant about not finalising transactions until they are official? Anyway, for the next update, you can get him into the Free Agent list (although given the fact that he's 28, has a back problem and is grossly overweight, I wouldn't be surprised if he retired), release Damien Rolls from AAA Columbus, the ame for Alex Graman, promote Ramiro Mendoza from AA Trenton to AAA Columbus, move Jon Skaggs to A Tampa (he's relieving now, so you could also change his positions), promote Brad Voyles or Kris Wilson (you could also promote Cannizaro from AA, but given the fact that Escalona is the starting shortstop, he'd be riding the bench and you'd have to replace him in Trenton, more hassle than it's worth, really), and you should be able to fill any vacant roster spots from there on out. Ferdin Tejeda is out for the year with Tommy John surgery, so there isn't much point in using him to fill the spot. Rudy Guillen has been promoted to Trenton as well, but since there are already 3 outfielders there, I wouldn't consider it a priority. I'll e-mail you if anything else major happens. What pitches does he throw and how hard?
matt_bertman
sure...he's 6'7" and 240, throws right, bats right, athletic body. He throws about a 95 MPH 4 seamer, a 12-6 curveball right around the 78 MPH mark, a flat slider that is about 83, and a changeup that is right around 77 MPH. He has very could control for someone in AA. I don't know exactly what control it would be, but just in the upper teir of AA pitchers.

themewin
Correct David Ortiz's hot zone, middle in and down and in should be red. Also in the Red Sox lineup make Ortiz batting 3rd and Manny 4th, and Edgar 2nd.

Hory
I just noticed while playing interleague games with the yankees how hideously overrated Tony Womack is 76/43 v L 86/49 v R yet in real life he is hitting .241 with 0 HR .267 v L .238 v R i think his contact and his hitting zones vs R need to be lowered a bit apart from 2004 he has never hit over .300 in a full season

Here's what I've done since 2.53 except all transactions and minor tweakings posted here at the forums (incl. the Blue Jays and Brewers updates): Updated the generic faces for Anaheim, Atlanta, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnatti, Los Angeles, Minnesota, Oakland and St.Louis. There's just 10 teams remaning on this project so if you're interested in helping out with Arizona, Baltimore, Cleveland, Detroit, Florida, Houston, NY Mets, NY Yankees, Philadelphia or San Francisco - please PM me and I'll send you some instructions. cybernetic
you should change some H/C zones for Jays as well.. Shea Hillenbrand is low middle hot vs right and left.. outside middle should be hot vs lefties too Rios should have middle hot and low middle hot vs righthanders Aaron Hill needs a lot more contact vs lefties as he is hitting around .350 against them this season

jumbohky10
some changes for next version: red sox organization: -jeremi gonzalez's # should be changed from 32 to 54. -jonathan papelbon's # should be changed from 50 to 58 and he should be promoted to AAA. -hanley ramirez and alejandro machado should be swapped, ramirez is the starting SS in AA and machado the starting SS in AAA. some recommendations for next version: -increase Roberto Petagine's power and contact VS Righties, he's hitting .316 with a HR and 8 RBI VS righties in only 19 AB's. -increase Tony Graffanino's contact VS righties, he's hitting .342 vs righties this season in 195 AB's. -lower Jason Giambi's power 84 and contact 84 VS lefties, he's hitting .223 with 6 hr's and 15 rbi's VS lefties this year in 94 AB's. also: -scott williamson should be moved to CHC MLB. -Mark bellhorn was dfa'd by the red sox, make graffanino starting 2B, and call up either roberto petagine or adam stern. -jonathan papelbon's stamina should be slightly increased and his splitter should be a little better.
