Sturtze is no longer a spot starter....not to make a big fuss out of it but Joe Torre said he is to valuble of an asset out the pen to be used in the starting role which is y at no point thru the season when the Yankees pitchers were dropping like flies did Sturtze start thus the starts by Wang, Leiter,Chacon,Small,Proctor,Henn,Redding, etc. but notice Sturtze never started so he is now soley a RP he is the Yankees 2nd setupman and emergency closer......so he is strictly RP

Tanyon Sturtze is now officially a RP in Ultimate Rosters.

Two players that need to be up from the minors...

Jonny Gomes (OF/DH) Tampa Bay

Dan Johnson (1B) Oakland

I don't know which players to send down in order to make this move so they'll stay in AAA.

next update...take olsen out, jason vargas in, vargas is sticking around, another phemon, and olsen is currently not on the 25 man roster.

take adam bonero off the roster and put someone else in there...not sure, if i go pitcher for pitcher, ethier blaine boyer or cough kolb cough.

aj burnett does not wear batting gloves...i've mentioned it previously, but not sure if i told you in time.

estrada's stance is closer to brian giles than soriano.

that's it for now...

major changes for the devil rays roster need to be made.

not on 25 man roster(alll have been demoted to the minors):

dewon brazleton

josh phelps

lance carter

delmon young

on 25 man roster in real life, but not on ur 25 man roster(one will have to be left out, baldeli is on the dl):

pete laforest

johnny gomes

tim corcoran

seth mcclung

joey gathright

i suggest you keep gathright down in aaa as the odd man out with badielli staying in the ur.

on the Yankees Rey Sanchez shouold be demoted to AAA and Felix Escalona should be brought up and Al Leiter pitching delivery should be changed to Glavine

How does the following quote translate to demoting Rey Sanchez and bringing Felix Escalona, pretty much a guaranteed career minor leaguer, up to the Yankees?

All injured MLB-players stay on their MLB-team.

Escalona has been gettin some playin time lately and Joe Torre said with the season winding down he will get even more playing time to rest the guys so it is better to have player who is actually playing in real life then one that is not even available ryte now.....leaving aside the fact tha he is injured

Sanchez stays on the MLB-roster and Escalona stays in AAA. I agree with MarkB on this subject.

He's had 8 at bats in 3 games for the whole year. When people start to use the rosters, Rey Sanchez won't be injured, so what are the chances they would demote him to AAA and bring up Felix Escalona?

And most minor leaguers will be getting even more playing time, since the roster expansion date is coming up.

This is an off-topic question but don't know anywhere else to ask... What is the team with the BEST farm system but the WORST MLB club in this rosters? I really want to start a dynasty with that combination but don't know which team to choose... THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

I'd go with either Milwaukee or Tampa Bay...

Just thought that I'd update you guys on how the rosters are coming along.

I've updated the generic faces for NY Mets and San Francisco today. Houston and Philly are halfway done and will be done later this afternoon. If I keep this tempo up, all teams are gonna be updated in 3.0.

Another update for you guys: Philly and Houston are done and MarkB contributed with info on the Yankees so they're finished too.

The only remaining teams as of now are Arizona, Baltimore, Detroit and Florida. I'm gonna start with the Marlins when I get home from work tomorrow and teeds is working on the Orioles.

Folks, 3.0 is gonna be a good one. I can promise you that!

Sorry but it's not possible. Manny's hair is a part of his cyberface. I can give Felix Hernandez corn rows if you feel that it's is somewhat similar?

jason vargas for the marlins in additon to a call up to the bigs, needs to have good contact and power, i say in the high 30's/low 40's for contact, low to high 30's for power...around dontrelle and hampton numbers for batting.

also, put his star power to at least lots, he's going to be in the bigs for a while.

not sure about his pitching delivery, if someone has the time right now to look at vargas' devlivery, he's on wgn now.
