And poor Cole...Poor redneck Cole

Also, I'm still waiting on/unable to find a report or brief about Jeremy Giambi signing with the White Sox...

Hey guys, downloaded v 3.4 yesterday, and noticed that Barry Bons' face looks like he's Asian. Anyone else see this problem? Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up so it can be fixed.

Also, is Walter Young supposed to be in this version? I thought in the readme file it says he is, but I couldn't find him in the O's organization. Thanks again!

this is from rotoworld.com

Jeremy Giambi signed a minor league contract with the White Sox.

Giambi, who did not play at all in the majors last season, reported to camp with Chicago earlier this week. White Sox GM Ken Williams declined to comment on the signing, which doesn't exactly bode well for Giambi's status in the organization.

courtesy of the Chicago Sun-Times:

OH, BROTHER: The Sox signed Jeremy Giambi to a minor-league deal, and the left-handed-hitting outfielder/first baseman already has reported to camp.

Giambi is the younger brother of New York Yankees slugger Jason Giambi, who reportedly told a federal grand jury in 2003 that he used steroids.

Jeremy Giambi is a .263 career hitter with four teams -- the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox. He did not play in the major leagues last season.

Giambi has 52 career home runs and 209 RBI in 510 games. He was a sixth-round draft pick of the Royals in 1996. General manager Ken Williams declined to comment on the signing.

Noticed that on my Xbox download as well :(

Changed except for Mora...MVPEdit is actually missing a few batting stances, one of which is Ordonez's, so we can't actually change that.

Hopefully you meant exept for Tejada!

Also, Omar Daal needs to be released to free agency.

This is to all the posts since my last...

IMPORTANT (and I am including it in every readme from now on, this will be as of Version 3.5 with the inclusion of the Millar cyberface...)

Our rosters include the face id #s for terminator korea’s Barry Bonds and Kevin Millar cyberfaces…If you don’t have either of these installed, you will have to either (a) install the faces or (B) go into MVPEdit and change their face ID’s to one of the generic faces (which are 901-915)…If you don’t, your game will crash…

For you poor console users, I'll have to talk with Kraw about giving him a "console friendly" version with generic faces for Bonds and Millar.

Yep I goofed, meant to say except Tejada...Mora is changed...

Thanks for the Giambi tips, guys...

I had a save issue with 3.4 where I lost some guys and had to recreate them...I must have missed Walter Young...He'll be in 3.5.

MLB.com still lists Daal as being in the minors...CBSSportsline says he's still hurt from last year and could be missing part of 2005. But I couldn't find anything about him being released.

Update 3.5 is UP! I'll reiterate a few things here...

"Console Friendly" does NOT mean ready for console...It means they are ready to be converted.

PC USERS:

Do you have terminator korea's Barry Bonds AND Kevin Millar faces? Then download the regular version 3.5 update.

Do you NOT have terminator korea's Bonds and Millar faces? Then download the "Console Friendly" version of the 3.5 update.

Read the README for all other details, including how to donate to us poor roster creators if you feel generous and inclined to do so.

Thank you and Enjoy!

Hey guys,

I have your 3.3 PC version installed and am interested in the 3.5 but I have a couple questions:

I do NOT have the Bonds or Millar cyberfaces (the zip file doesn't come with a bat file and I've never used MVPEdit. )

so, I was wondering if i dload 3.5 will that install the faces along with the roster? r will they just be the generic ones like 3.3?

I want the cyberfaces , but I don't know how to install them manually. Is there anyway for someone to create a batch file that installs the faces easily?

Thanks! for all the long work you guys do...

Agent--

You'll have to drop terminatorkorea a line about making it a batch file...It's actually not hard to install, and he includes a readme in the download. If you don't download the faces though, then, as I said in my last post, you have to download the "Console Friendly" version. This will work just fine for you, but you'll still have generic faces for Millar and Bonds.

Also, I'm still waiting on/unable to find a report or brief about Jeremy Giambi signing with the White Sox...

From WhiteSox.com:

Here today: Jeremy Giambi, the younger brother of Jason Giambi, signed a minor league contract with the White Sox on Tuesday. Giambi, 30, is targeted for Triple-A Charlotte. He hit .197 over 127 at-bats for Boston in 2003 and is a .263 career hitter.

A few other White Sox changes...

1.) Scott Podsednik will start in LF for the White Sox so his position should be changed from CF to LF. Aaron Rowand will start in CF so his position should be changed from LF to CF. These changes will affect the lineups as well.

2.) Neal Cotts' position should be changed from SP to RP. He will be in the White Sox bullpen this season as a long reliever.

3.) The White Sox are converting Jon Adkins into a starting pitcher so his position should be changed from RP to SP. Also, Adkins is expected to start the season in AAA Charlotte Knights.

4.) Luis Vizcaino will be on the White Sox opening day roster instead of Jon Adkins who will be in AAA Charlotte Knights.

5.) Ross Gload's first position should be 1B and his second position should be OF.

6.) Ross Gload will be on the White Sox opening day roster instead of Felix Diaz.

Thanks for the updates jabroni and abacus...

As for Takatsu, according to ESPN.com:

He sometimes throws his dive-bombing changeup in the low-60s, pitching coach Don Cooper says "it looks like it can defy a little gravity sometimes."

A better description, according to David Brown of the Northwest Herald Online:

"'The Frisbee,' a nightmarish mix of slider-curve-slurve-changeup-gimme an aspirin tablet, zips across home plate going roughly 60 mph and drops out of sight."

So no, its not quite the 53 that the EA idiots have it as, but close...I moved it to 62 and cranked up its movment.

hypnoxXx and llcmac-

are there any players left on your "priority"list?

do you still need some "spec" suggestions on Wolf's cutter? (sorry 'bout the mix-up. i let my posts, and not my word, be my "johnny cochrane" and make my case)

is it correct to assume that Rangers, Mariners, and Angels are only "near complete" organizations? do you have some particular ones you want done?

(i.e., what can i do at this point? i am out of attribute suggestions at this point)

phillyfan-

thanks for checking on Wolf. despite what you might think, i'm not as 'anal' as you think. my motto is Jack Webb's, "just the facts"

llc-

the "cold shoulder"? something i said?

oh no, I was just skimming through the thread before I head off for the night. Hypno has been putting a lot of work into the rosters so i was letting him answer most of the questions (hmm that doesn't seem fair). Yes, Rangers, M's and Angels are "near complete". I think Hypno has dealt with all the players on our list. Sooner or later I will be taking on the Phils and I think Hypno has been taking care of the Dbacks, so feel free to help us out with any other teams.

Teams being done or done enough for now:

Twins

Phils

Yanks

Rangers

M's

Angels

DBacks

I think/hope that is all of them.

I PMed Hypno about his and will tell you. I have alot of the Reds minors information in notepad. Has the basic HT, WT, etc. And then most have a little scouting report, and pictures.

If you PM or post your email I will send it.

And Rob Stratton is marked as a top 100 prospect, which he isn't
