Totte
Major Announcement There's been some buzz around the forums for what the new secret feature of UR will be and I'm proud to announce that: The next installment in the Ultimate Rosters series will be called 5.0 and be fully compatible with the models.big files by Big Shmooz. For those of you that don't like or for some other reason don't want to play with Big Shmoozs' updated models.big files fully loaded with cyberfaces and such, there will be a "regular" UR 5.0 available for download - just like the versions of UR available at the moment. This is a major project and I've worked my *** off for the last two days laying the groundwork of the most comprehensive baseball rosters to ever hit the web. I plan to get the ball in play on one of the last areas of work later tonight. Meanwhile, Big Shmooz is working on some fresh models.big files that should be up-to-date as of January 6th (at least). Estimated release for these new revamped rosters are January 15th but be sure to keep reading this thread for the latest news about the project. Thanks for listening and I hope you'll enjoy what I and Big Shmooz are trying to accomplish. /Totte

I'm not 100 % sure on what else will be included except for the cyberfaces but you can expect a similar roster update like Big Shmoozs' previous works with UR 2.35. krawhitham
Totte, Why not inculde Hory's portraits? because then the download would be like 500 meg models is like 290MB and the portraits would be 200MB plus I do not know how Hory feels about it just guessing :)

I think last xbox AR update was 4.63 which u guys did a great job on. I'm not that educated on what you can convert and not into Xbox/ps2 but I'm sure that if it's possible, kraw will convert it. Although in this case, I think all you can get is the updated rosters.

robskicks
A couple suggestions for tweaking Padres players in 5.0 (not only upgrades but downgrades aswell), as they seem to be kind of untouched. I'll try to back it up with stats... because maybe your not as familiar with Padres as I am. First, Brian Giles should be the best player besides Peavy. I think he could use upgrades in plate discipline (he led the league in walks), and just overall contact (especially versus lefties). I'm not a rating expert like you guys so I'll let you guys handle the #'s. SPLIT AVG OBP SLG OPS vs. Left .289 .403 .440 .843 vs. Right .306 .431 .501 .933 Next, Woody Williams was the worst pitcher for the Padres last season. He would hit the 5th inning and everything would fall apart, it seemed every game. So maybe tinkering with the his high stamina would work... Last season he also seemed to lose: The Zip in his fastball's (Throws about 85-87 now) Overall movement & control SEASON IP H R ER HR BB SO W L SV HLD BLSV ERA 160.2 174 92 86 24 51 106 9 12 0 0 -- 4.85 Now I know less about this player, since the Padres acquired him recently, but Mike Cameron's ratings also seem a tad off. He seems low in both Contact and Power. He's an all or nothing type of guy. SPLIT G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB BA OBP SLG Season 76 308 47 84 23 2 12 39 13 .273 .342 .477 Now another ex-star who should be downgraded due to recent play, is Ryan Klesko. Although the Padres tend not to use him often against lefties, there's no way he's better against them! I'd suggest just keeping his Righty ratings and downgrading the lefty ones alot. SPLIT AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB HBP SO SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS vs. Left 100 7 20 4 1 0 8 15 0 27 0 1 .200 .304 .260 .564 vs. Right 343 54 90 15 0 18 50 60 1 53 3 3 .262 .373 .464 .836 Also a few rookie players for the Padres will be making their debuts this season. One is Josh Barfield. I think he should be more ready to play in the majors then his vitals say, as he's proved himself in triple a year after year. The padres are expecting a minimum of .275AVG and 10-20HR from him. That's the last tweak I'll do... I think your probably tired of this and think I'm butting in to your job. Great Rosters anyway! Hope this helps!

D.M.Z.
Here are a few Pirate changes to consider: Terry Adams to AAA (minor league contract) Ian Snell to ML (long relief) Sean Burnett to ML (Starting Pitcher) Victor Santos (long relief) Giovanni Carrara to AAA (minor league contract) Roberto Hernandez (closer) Salomon Torres (middle relief) Joe Randa (starting 3rd baseman) Jose Castillo (starting 2nd baseman) Freddy Sanchez (bench-will be used as a utility player) Craig Wilson (Designated Hitter) Bryan Bullington (change to SP and move to AAA + increase stamina) Jorge Vasquez from MISS Braves to IND Indians(AAA) Mark Corey signed with New York Yankees (Minor League Contract) Also here are several minor league transactions that are missed on other sites: http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/transactions/trans.html
Sandlot
Miguel Cairo on the Yankees won't be wearing #3 for an obvious reason. He wore 41 in his last stint as a Yankee, but Randy Johnson has the number 41 taken. #40 is Wang's number as well, 42's = Rivera. Anyone know what number he would wear?
