Not sure if this has been posted, but Andy Marte is listed as cyberface 477, but the cyberace assigned in the models.big is actually Bruce Boche. Marte is 447. That means 447 should no longer be listed as a replaceable face from my earlier post.

If you've never seen a 12-6 splitter, you probably don't watch much major league baseball.

there´s not a single pure 12-6 splitter, most of them fades towards the end. if not post a link with a video showing a 12-6 splitter...

Henry Owens:

24 HENRY OWENS - RRP - 2-5 3.61, 22 W, 59 K, 3 Sv

From the #s the UFA has put up in the past with PIT, less than a H per IP, over a K/IP & an OBA at under .200 could see why the Mets jumped on him in last off-season’s WD. Works from 10 ‘o’clock angle. PROS: FB, tho in avg range, since he hides the ball so well, its sneaky fast and has some sink, Works quickly adding to the bafflement of hitters to the FB that he works on the inner and outer parts of the plate. Has an effective tight the swerves more than drops that makes him poison to righties. CONS: FB is in avg range, and at his age, 26, is not likely to get any faster. Not that he cares to. He could load up more but prefers to smooth out his delivery to throw Ks. CU is avg at best and reserved, even then sparingly, for lefties. Since he dumps the SL to LH’d batters they pose a problem for him. OUTLOOK: His age is his biggest liability. He can do fine as righty situational P but that list is long, with better, younger arms, Deserves a shot at AA to see if he could d put up the good #s he put up in the past. With his flair for K’ing hitters wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes one of those 29-30 year old rookies we hear about.

PITCHES: FB (5.5) 89-91, SL (5.5-6) 78-81, CU (5) 79-80

CoC Chance: 33%, Stay Awhile 15%, Regular 5% Star 2%

This is a website that has 3-4 people themsevles go and see every single player so what they say is something I tend to trust.

And according to them, he only has 3 pitches so take away the sinker for now.

He has a sinker, look around, it says so somewhere. I didn't just make it up...

Dude, I can throw a 12-6 splitter and I don't even play baseball regularly any more. Also, simply due to the speed alone, it would be very difficult to show a splitter breaking exactly unless you had some incredibly high focus and powered cameras such as the ones used by ESPN etc.

And if there isn't a single one that breaks 12-6, how come only most instead of all fade towards the end, as you say?

I think they said his fastball or slider have sink to it so that may be where that comes from. Who knows?

Totte, you should create Andy Wilson for the Binghamton Mets. He's a 24 year-old catcher/1B but coming off a great season in A-ball and played well in the Arizona fall league.

Here's a link to his profile,

http://mets.nyfansites.com/players.php?player=andrew_wilson

.284 / 28 HR / 89 RBI / 68BB (370 obp) , 88 SO, 8 SB , 532 SLG

This way, you could move Hietpas to AAA which is where he ended last season at and will more than likely start this season.

Also, Miguel Pinango is a highly touted prospect who will start in either A or AA

my bad... i wanted to say all, but this is my point:

all of the mlb pitching coach will have their pitchers throw splitters, sinkers and changeups with some movement at the end (fade). because 12-6 drops are more easy to hit than a 1-7 or 2-8, or some variation like that.

Highlight Reel, I made a version of Andy Wilson using your stats and I was impressed with the results. At least moreso than I have been with the UR minor players. They tend to come off hitting lower and with less power than they should as pitching seems to dominate but with your version, I was ok with what came back.

I did two seasons:

.304 / 19 HR / 72 RBI

.274 / 15 HR / 65 RBI

Good OBP's as well

If you ever have the time, can you pm me what you have done with other players on the Mets roster?

And Totte, I understand how annoying it must be to hear people tell you how to do your own work but hitting stats need to be pushed up a bit for every player. That or the pitching needs to come down. ERA's are never above 4 in A and AA ball and only 1-2 pitchers in AAA eclipse it.

Metalboy15 has a point. If you watch Clemens splitter closely, it "fades" to the right if you watch it from the ESPN pitching cam. The same goes for Derek Lowe's sinker.

Watch 'Lowe strikes out 8'

THANKS for the support Emil!

look guys, im not saying 12-6 (or slider like movement) splitters, sinkers or changeups doesnt exists, they exists, just not in the mlb, pitching coaches make their pitchers add some "fading" movement on this pitches.

Totte, hopefully, if I can get in touch with Royals Fan, we can get some better info (pitch selection, etc.) for some of our Royals as well.

I think I can be of service there. I would have sent my Royals organizational roster to the UR team that i've been playing with all year, but YFL sent me on a little "vacation" and I just got back to the site over Christmas break.

My roster had everyone playing with the Royals, accurate all the way down to A ball. When I get back to school in the next few days i'm gonna update all the winter Royals transactions and send the roster file to the UR team.

I'd love to help out with the specifics like pitch types and stuff, Royal Blues ...

EDIT- Totte, if you want it (CAPs/Edits), they're all yours. :wtg:

Whatever you are willing to do, I will be more than happy to receive. I'm gonna go through some trials of my own to see if I could get like numbers from this year on other players. Milledge always hits in the .240-250 range and thats not him at all. I mean he hit .330+ in AA and here he struggles in A-ball.

But yes, send em my way via pm and maybe we can work on things together, ok?

Well, that's what happens when you break the rules. And you were actually reinstated on the 21st of October.

Let's keep this sort of thing out of the forums from now on, OK?

Totte, please do not take this as criticism as I am just trying to help or give you a heads up, ok?

I ran two test trials of a full season to see how the power numbers were in the minors and came up with the following results.

In only one league (out of 10) , did a player hit over 20 homeruns. There were two and the most was 22 by Eric Valent. This happened in both simulations. He hit 21 in the other which was the high.

Now compare that to real stats from this past season:

International: 23 players hit 20 or more.....high was 30

Pacific: 26 with 20 or more, 4 with 30 or more, high was 31

Eastern: 10 with 20 or more.....high 34

Southern: 4 with 20 or more...high 26

Texas: 9 with 20 or more....high 31

California: 20 with 20 or more....high 43

Carolina: 7 with 20 or more.....high 29

Florida State: 8 with 20 or more....high 28

Midwest: 4 with 20 or more.....high 24

South Atlantic: 12 with 20 or more, 2 with 30+, high 36

We need to somehow do a complete offensive overhaul as far as power is concerned. Is there an easy way with MVPedit to just up stats?

Just good luck I guess. I haven't use any specific formula except for thoughts in my head I can't really explain and put into text.

The pitching might be a bit overrated in the minors, I'm aware of that. It's on my to-do-list

There's a global edit function but I've never used it...

I'll add the HR Minors thingy to my project list

A couple of questions for you guys? Will installing the UR 5.0 Standard Plus negatively impact my saved dynastys that I have already started? Also, I am assuming that the inlcuded model.big file will not work with other downloaded rosters? It will only work with future UR updates and any updates I make with MVPEdit. Am I correct? :)

The installation of rosters does not affect already started dynasties.

Yes, you're correct. "It will only work with future UR updates and any updates I make with MVPEdit." (or any other roster that uses the same numbers on the cyberfaces as we do)
