Totte, here's a little more info about Iriki, the new reliever for the Mets.

Iriki, 33, was in New York yesterday for a physical examination. He said through an interpreter that he had received other offers to pitch in the major leagues...

General Manager Omar Minaya said that the Mets had scouted Iriki for nearly a month and that they were intrigued by his versatility and his repertory. Iriki throws five pitches, including a shuto, a sort of cut fastball that Masato Yoshii used to throw, and his fastball reaches 93 miles an hour.

His deal is worth $750,000 with two options apparently.

As for the whole thing about the minor's, the problem is with contact and power. The pitchers periphials are right around where they should be, some a little higher, but for the most part, it's the weak contact and power from the hitters that cause a problem.

And one note, Brandon Wood for Anaheim hit 57 homeruns total last season in around 670 AB's so his power definitely needs to be boosted. I re-did the Mets farm system to get em around the stats they were at least season and had to basically boost everyones offensive stats.

Here are his Japanese stats

http://japanesebaseball.com/players/player...ear=2005&Part=1

He has an option so I see him stasrting off the year in AAA unless he impresses bigtime so if you create him, put him at Norfolk for now. I know nothing else right now so I'd wait to create him. Just keep it in mind, ok?

Keep this mind when creating him, from what I remember from when I lived in Japan is his fastball is 89-90. He has a slider and two seamer. Maybe a change up also.

The reason the contact and power is so low is because the players progress too quickly and unrealistically otherwise so you can either have 'realistic' hitting stats for A-AA or realistic progression but not both.

So basically I'll have to bite the bullet and maybe at least just alter my teams attrinbutes accordingly as time goes on. Maybe once the season gets under way, we should all chime in about what ratins should be and show progression with each team and player so we can edit it throughout the season and our dynasties.

I just know that Harper is now hitting 25-35 HR instead of 6 and Milledge is showing why he is one of the most highly touted prospects as opposed to being a mediocre single A player since I upped their stats.

We could just lower the progression file could we not with this roster set? Compensate for the higher contact/power ratings?

Bill Harris progression mod is Holy and we don't edit that in any way :)

My game keeps crashing while playing an Exhibition game between the Twins and Marlins. Did anyone else experience this?

Try it out with Silva pitching against Vargas. Sub Scott Olsen for Vargas after the 1st inning. The game crashed when Olsen came to the plate. I hit a flyball to RF...black screen!

I tested it out & I too get crashing. In fact I don't even get as far as you into the game before it crashes using those 2 teams. Btw... I am playing with Florida as the home team & in Florida's stadium. Tell me, are you using the version with my models.big? If so, try it using the roster version that does not have updated cyberfaces & see if it still crashes. This will pin down if the problem is in the rosters or in one of the particular cyberfaces of either Florida or Minnesota.

The other way to test if it is the cyberfaces is, (provided you have been using my models.big) to play Minnesota at a different team other than Florida & see if the crash still happens. Then to do the same with Minnesota & see if the crash happens. If it no longer crashes then it might be a stadium or a uniform issue or perhaps something totally different.

One thing I will add. I went & checked the individual cyberfaces of both teams players in the edit screen & there were no issues with any of them. They all displayed properly.

I played a game with the Yankees vs. Twins in Minnesota. I have the latest Metrodome stadium mod loaded...using UR5.0 with UMachines uniforms. The CPU had Santana as their starting pitcher.

I finished the game....everything worked fine....

Other than the Michael Cuddyer face issue I noted in a few posts back from this one.

I used the models.big without uni's and played at Dolphins Stadium.

I won't be able to do any real testing until monday night so it'd be great if some of you guys could help big shmooz out and try pin this crash down.

Totte... My first idea is this... to eliminate what may be the problem is to play with the UR rosters that you made without the updated cyberface numbers (your old version) & see if the crash still happens. This way we can eliminate if the crash is coming because of a cyberface display other than the default cyberfaces.

Daric Barton in the A's system needs to have his plate discipline and contact increased (he is compared to Pujols when it comes to pitch selectiveness)

And Rickie Weeks needs to have his speed decreased (although he is skinny and looks like he has a fast body type, he is not nearly that fast).

btw, i started a dynasty with florida and it crashes in the bottom of the 1st inning.

Are you using the standard or the plus rosters? Also, who were you playing against? Who was the home team & who was the away team? Who was pitching for both teams? What was your lineup? (on both teams) What stadium were you playing in? Was the stadium a default one or a modded one?

home FLA, away ATL

dtrain vs. hudson

modded stadium

using the plus roster with models.big

the lineup is completley gutted (all prospects playing basically)

ATL roster was left alone.

KCStar uniforms installed.
