WatchdogXC
Are you having problems with the Xbox rosters as well Kraw? I can't wait to start a new dynasty but I know those rosters are going to be worth it. You do some awesome things here. Totte: Will the Akron Aeros lineup vs RHPwDH ever get the null spot removed from there. I can get it to work sometimes by making multiple moves, but if it doesn't work right, it freezes up my Xbox. If not, I'll be more than happy to just play the Indians games.
slikkrikk
Eric Gagne is incorporating a slider into his arsenal: Quote Gagne said he hopes to develop further the slider or cutter that he's rarely used in previous years -- which should be really welcome news to hitters who've had enough trouble with the fastball, change and slow curve. "You get older, you make stuff up," Gagne said. "I'd like to incorporate it into my repertoire, to throw it down and away to righties and down and in to lefties." vinnyxgunz
if you want to really complete these rosters you need to update every players ratings. if you look on operationsports.com people have come up with charts and databases to find out based on stats the correct ratings. i think that is the most important part in the game and thats something no one on here does anything about. But I was really excited to see him catch." --Mariners director of minor league operations Greg Hunter ETA: 2007 34. SCOTT OLSEN, lhp, Marlins "You could see he was oozing with talent. JOEL ZUMAYA, rhp, Tigers "I've always had him in as a closer. That's why for me he's a Mark Prior Lite." --Charleston manager Bill Mosiello ETA: 2007 40. ANIBAL SANCHEZ, rhp, Marlins "Outside of his stuff, which has certainly improved, he's also a cerebral kid who prepares himself well. He's got the pieces of the puzzle that make a pitcher successful." --Red Sox vice president of player personnel Ben Cherington ETA: 2006 Reyes41. ANTHONY REYES, rhp, Cardinals "He's going to make you put the ball in play and give the defense a chance to make plays behind him. He is always ahead in the count and he is not going to beat himself." --Round Rock manager Jackie Moore ETA: 2006 42. RUSSELL MARTIN, c, Dodgers "He's obviously one of the better hitters in the league, yet at the most premium position. He’s a rare combination of power, intelligence and an advanced feel for pitching for a 21-year-old.†--Indians farm director John Farrell ETA: 2007 48. DUSTIN McGOWAN, rhp, Blue Jays "For a power pitcher, he's got some kind of changeup. If he starts locating that fastball a little better, he's got everything." --Blue Jays manager John Gibbons ETA: 2006 49. RYAN BRAUN, 3b, Brewers "He's got awesome bat speed but also has some things to work on. He's got all the talent to be a legitimate middle-of-the-order bat down the road." --West Virginia hitting coach Johnny Narron ETA: 2007 50. JEREMY SOWERS, lhp, Indians "He just commands all his pitches well and finds a way to get it done. It's to be back on the field." --Twins farm director Jim Rantz ETA: 2006 59. JOHN DANKS, lhp, Rangers "He's always grouped with Thomas Diamond and Edison Volquez because they've played together all year. But people need to realize that he's playing with them and he's two years younger." --anonymous scout ETA: 2007 60. JEFF MATHIS, c, Angels "I've loved him forever. I think he's probably better defensively than offensively because of his intangibles. I love his makeup." --anonymous scout ETA: 2006 61. ELVIS ANDRUS, ss, Braves "He has it all for his age. His whole game is very mature." --GCL Tigers manager Kevin Bradshaw ETA: 2009 Patton62. His stuff is plenty good." --Astros senior director of player personnel Paul Ricciarini ETA: 2007 63. JONATHAN BROXTON, rhp, Dodgers "He blows it by people, has deception in his delivery, a power breaking ball and a feel for it. Broxton looked like a bigger Bartolo Colon out there, with a better body." --anonymous scout ETA: 2006 Jones64. ADAM JONES, of/ss, Mariners "He brings so much to every game. He'll find a different way to beat you on any given day." --Bakersfield manager Arnie Beyeler ETA: 2007 Sanders65. This guy is a power pitcher, a big guy with a good future." --Jacksonville manager John Shoemaker ETA: 2006 68. COLE HAMELS, lhp, Phillies "We don't want to get too excited because he hasn't pitched much the past year and a half. By the same token, we don't want to hold him back if he's ready." --Phillies assistant general manager Mike Arbuckle ETA: 2006 69. YUSMEIRO PETIT, rhp, Marlins "When you throw 3-and-2 changeups down in the zone with late bite, it's cheating. DUSTIN PEDROIA, 2b/ss, Red Sox "Everyone scoffed at him and underestimated his ability to play at a high level, but this guy is a winner. BLAKE DeWITT, 3b, Dodgers "He lets the ball get deep, shows the ability to drive the ball the other way and has easy pull power. The bat will be there." --anonymous scout ETA: 2008 83. ERIC DUNCAN, 3b/1b, Yankees "He had the kind of year you would expect a 20-year-old kid to have at Double-A. You've got to throw everything and the kitchen sink at him to get him out." --Frisco manager Darryl Kennedy ETA: 2006 90. NICK ADENHART, rhp, Angels "He's getting there. His fastball was an easy 90-94. He just needs to learn when to throw which pitch." --AZL manager Brian Harper ETA: 2008 91. GLEN PERKINS, lhp, Twins "He came to the park ready to pitch. He's a lefthander with a sneaky fastball that always seems to jump up on the hitters." --Fort Myers manager Riccardo Ingram ETA: 2006 92. vinnyxgunz
\ said: all the ratings have been changed, they are not EA default ratings 95% of players still have last years ratings where barely half of the players had their ratings changed. people out there are changing every single players ratings based on 3-year splits. if you want these rosters to be top notch this needs to be done. they have rating generators at operationsports.com that, imo, need to be applied. slikkrikk
3-year splitting is a great way of doing this. I believe SS does that? I have found that a LOT more players than 5% have been changed.
krawhitham
I remember when UR was first started (before totte)and all you little bitches would wine and moan because because they had changed the ratings from what EA had. Now the same people are bitching claiming that the rosters contain all of EA ratings. you can not have it both ways Do not believe the hype, just because a few people are running around saying the ratings have not changed you believe it. gcurrier2004
I know everybody wants the best rosters possible, but you guys have to remember there are more than 3000 players. It is a tough task to update EVERY player before each update, along with players switching teams, callups/senddowns. If you want updated rankings, choose SS's rosters, if you want Total minors, download URP. If your going to complain about URP not having updated ratings, and you complain about SS not having minors, then make your own and stop bitching at these 2 helpful contributors. Its a joke. vinnyxgunz
i'm not bitching. where was i bitching? all i said was simply if you want to take the rosters to the next level i think someone should fix players ratings. every1 talks so tough over these boards  it's called "CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM" if u have ever heard of it. i have donated to mvpmods and mvplanet and i'm just trying to get these rosters better. ea's ratings were not good but the current ones are not good either - just not enough players have been updated. if you dont want to edit them that's fine too, it's a suggestion, not bitching, so keep your pants on. remember, it's a freakin' video game, no need to get so defensive. You just have to wait until people get time to edit them. And your right, it is a video game, there is no need for people to moan about the ratings every day. golfguy10
The game has an editor - if you know some players are not correct adjust. Like you said it's game. azmorty
I have been playing the PC version of either EA Baseball or High Heat since 1999. I rarely ever post as evidenced by the stats in my profile. Constructive criticism usually includes offering a solution or assisting with a solution. The herculean efforts made by some dedicated members of this community to make this game "real" and enjoyable should be applauded. There are 2 ways that I know of to edit the rosters. MVPedit which allows the editor to change every aspect of each players attributes right down to their split stats. The other, somewhat crude but better than nothing, is the in game editor. Even if the ratings were 98% accurate there would still be 60 that were wrong (30 teams X 4 levels X 25 players). If you aren't satisfied with a player's particular ratings then change them to suit your individual preferences. Even professional scouts don't agree on a player's ratings. Come on.

dcarsnyy
Hey guys... Are you using MVP Edit to make these rosters? If you are, are you rolling back each players contract 1 year so the people who are due to be FA's will become FA's after you're first season in dynasty? For example, Jorge Posada's contract is up after this season, in the game if I started a dynasty with default rosters he would have 2 years left. Will you guys be changing it so it's really like the 06 season? Thanks.

So he will be a Yankee in 2007 also. So unless Kelly Stinnett is catching 63 games this year, Posada will still be a Yankee in 2007.

I might have missed out on some players but then again not.

RaptorQuiz
John Rodriguez (outfielder) for the St. Louis Cardinals... when combined with the '06 total conversion mod, he has a cyberface or at least hispanic generic face, but his arms and such are from a white guy. Clearly, that's not good. It's extremely noticable, and it's on a player that will likely platoon for every day playing on an MLB team. lol. Just making somebody aware. Everyone appreciate what everyone is doing here, and I'm sure people are tired of hearing about player rating changes and when the rosters will be ready for certain systems. But when someone comes in notices a problem and then a way to possibly fix it or adjust it, and they are told to "quit bitching" it doesn't exactly lend itsself to more people helping with this.
