Couple quick positions changes in the Cubs organization for you Totte:

Felix Pie: Change first position to right field, they have moved him here because of Juan Pierre being signed, and because he has the second best arm in the organization to Ryan Harvey.

Buck Coats: He is on the Non-Roster Invitee list, listed as an outfielder, so I moved him from SS to LF.

Eric Patterson: Also listed on the non-roster invitee list as an outfielder. He has over 90 speed, so I moved his first pos. to CF.

Also, 2B Ryan Theriot is regarded as one of the best defensive second basemen in the minors. I bumped all of his defensive ratings up by 10.

As for this skill-machine guy totte, just ignore him, obviously you can tell like I can by his typing that he is a younger kid. I am an X-Box user and I downloaded your 5.1 update, and I have been updating along with this thread myself.

One last big change for the Cubs, Aramis Ramirez needs a ratings jump against LHP, he hit .355 with 12 hr's in 121 AB's last year against lefties, and presently he is rated higher vs. righties than versus lefties.

I was just checking out the Baseball America Top 100 list, and I noticed 5 Players in the Top 50 not in the rosters. (I only have X-Box, so I only have 5.1, so I'm not sure if you added them in 5.2).

Troy Tutlowski, SS, COL

Cameron Maybin, OF, DET

Jeff Clement, C, SEA

Ryan Braun, 3B, MIL

Andrew McCutchen, CF, Pirates

I really don't have anyway of getting scouting reports until my Sporting News Baseball 2006 comes in the mail :) But if someone wants to list some I can make some CAPS of these guys, peace.

Hilbs, if you could come up with CAPS that would be great because those guys def. should be in the game, Some of the top prospects you've got there for sure.

carlos gonzalez of diamondbacks org. is a top 100 also. i think in the top 30. he is not in the game.

I added him yesterday so he's in the upcoming 5.3

I understand where you're coming from bro', no worries :)

I can't give you any promises for 5.3 but they'll most likely be in the Opening Day rosters

before i forget:

anderson hernandez of the mets aaa norfolk tides should have better batting than now. he rocked the winter league, and should get attributes close to matsui (vs lefties: cont 73 pow 63, vs righties: con 64 pow 49), just because he is better than his actuel one (vs lefties: cont 34 pow 28, vs righties: con 35 pow 30). in my opinion the following are more realistic:

vs lefties: cont 65 pow 51, vs righties: con 63 pow 50

also, he is a 2b (that´s the only position where he would play in the majors, maybe after the all-star brake). so make him a second basemen, with 2nd position short stop.

jose reyes should be better, too. his contact now is on 75 vs lefties and 61 vs righties. against lefties is nearly 79, and vs righties it should be 70-72.

oh, before i forget:

on one mets member you can make the numbers lower. guess who ... it´s this BIT** matsui. see what he "hit" last season. his hitting attributes are close to reyes, you must have make a mistake here :?

put his numbers down 7-10 in each hitting catagorie.

Anderson Hernandez's contact stats should be higher but I wouldnt know about that high just yet. Yes, he hit AA and AAA pitching well and had a nice winter and his spring has been good thus far, but he did go 1-18 in his short stint against major league pitching and it remains to be scene if he can do better or not. So for now, 65-68 sounds better.

The one that does need to be upgraded is Jeff Keppinger. As far as contact goes, he is really high up there. I showed stats on a previous page to back my claim. The low strikeouts, walking more than striking out, .300+ average all throughout his minor league career, including .336 in AAA and .284 in the MLB in over 100 AB's.

Players that have been in the minors up to this season (like Hernandez and Keppinger) won't have their ratings increased to reflect some numbers that we "think" they'll hit. Once they prove that they can hit and deliver at the MLB-level, I'll adjust their ratings. For now, their ratings will be bumped out within a fair scale of good sense.

Totte, in defense here, most minor league stats somewhat translate pretty well into the pro's. I agree with you but these people arent hitting .284 in the majors with only a 45 contact.

I understand your point of view but as I said, for now, their ratings will be bumped out within a fair scale of good sense. I've fixed what you've asked for with Hernandez, Keppinger, Reyes and Matsui but with fair values based off their MLB performances thus far.

I got Baseball Prospectus 2006 and they actually try to translate MLB statistics from Minor league statistics based on competition level, ballparks, and other factors.

I'd be more than happy to look some people up!

Great job, Totte!

But these rosters would be even better with an updated Total Minors. A lot of pospects on the Giants needs to be added and so on.

Read a couple of the latest articles and you will get a good view of who's our top prospects.

http://giantprospects.blogspot.com/

Add: Jamey Wright to the Giants, he may be our 5th starter

Edit: Todd Walker's fastball is in the mid 90's.
