I have a quick comment regarding the ratings in the minor leagues (FYI - this isn't meant to be combative at all, just an opinion that can be used or brushed away).

It seems from the glances I have had that some superior prospects are rated the same as others that are far less than superior. My thought is -- how about taking the Top 100 list just recently released and making sure that those guys have the highest ratings? When I say high, it's fine to make them have the 50/50 power/contact ratings that they have now, but I think that the rest of the lower-tier prospects should be in the 40s and 30s ranges.

Thoughts?

Sounds fair

Ok, that's it. Skill machine, you are going to take a little break from this website. I am through seeing you disrupt this thread.

Ok, now back to Ultimate Rosters.

Thank you :hail:

I doubt its possible, as Damon still has his beard of evil.

I've removed the facial hair for Villone and Stinnett. How? Since they're playing with generic faces, I can change their appearance in MVPedit. Damon is using a cyberface which makes it impossible for me to do anything about his beard.

I just noticed you have Jonathan Papelbon making $4.2mil this year on a one year deal... I believe he has 2 or 3 years before arbitration, and he is only making $250-300k

EDIT: I just checked your mbe and it shows him at 100 for 1 year... i dunno why he is making 4.2mil on my xbox, but hell.... your file is fine.

Hey... I'm sorry to be a pain (low post total doesn't help), but can someone tell me why UR roster always fails to load on my PS2? I'm using maxdrive... it goes on the usb drive fine, it uncrushes fine... but then everytime I go to load the rosters it fails. I don't get why

I downloaded ur 5.2 update but none of the creat cyberfaces or there. For example victor diaz and chris woodward do not have there created faces they have generic faces

That's because 5.2 is the standard edition, not the plus edition. If you want to use the cyberfaces, download 5.1 plus and open it and 5.2 side by side in MVPEdit and change the face numbers in 5.2 to match those in 5.1 plus.

There won't be a 5.2 Plus Edition. The next Plus roster will be included in the final release of the MVP06 project.

I'm a freakin' liar. I went to my copy of BP2006 and there's no Major League Equivalents. I was pure wrong. Anyway, I know I've seen this before and I could have sworn that it was in Baseball Prospectus. Well, I was kind of right.

I had indeed seen this before. Actually, really recently. It wasn't in that book but rather in my copy of Minor League Baseball Analyst.

Here's the only issue though: I lent it to my friend. But, that's not as bad as it seems. He's going to stop by sometime this week so that I can get it back. He's had it for about 3 weeks now. I guess I'll have to give him his copy of "Wedding Crashers" back then. :(

Also, to Totte, if there is anything I can do for you and this great project with these resources, please feel absolutely free to contact me and let me know. As I mentioned above, I'll get my Minor League book back this week. Also, in the meantime, I still have my copy of BP2006 on my shelf with absolutely no plans to lend that bad boy out. Though it doesn't have equivalencies, it does offer "reliable" predictions for 2006. As usual though, their predictions should be taken with a grain of salt. Then again, I've noticed that they tend to be more on the conservative side of things - except Ryan Howard's HR total this year: 40+

I'm actually really glad about this whole thing since I would've probably gone into my fantasy farm system draft in a couple of weeks armed with the wrong dang book! 8O

I was just checking out the Baseball America Top 100 list, and I noticed 5 Players in the Top 50 not in the rosters. (I only have X-Box, so I only have 5.1, so I'm not sure if you added them in 5.2).

Troy Tutlowski, SS, COL

Cameron Maybin, OF, DET

Jeff Clement, C, SEA

Ryan Braun, 3B, MIL

Andrew McCutchen, CF, Pirates

I really don't have anyway of getting scouting reports until my Sporting News Baseball 2006 comes in the mail :) But if someone wants to list some I can make some CAPS of these guys, peace.

Ironically enough, yesterday I went through some threads at fanfare & Operation Sports, and found all of these guys. I didn't know what team Maybin played for, so I didn't add him. I did, however, add the other 4 guys on that list just yesterday. I got the caps from OperationSports.com, but the thread is from like, last summer (the time of the 2005 Amateur Draft). I'd have to go hunt it down, but I'd be more than happy to post that thread to give you guys a head up on some caps available for these 5 guys.

Edit: Here's the link to the thread at Fanfare games. They have most of the critical CAP's in the earlier part of the thread. Most of the thread is junk, but the first 4 or 5 pages has the meat of the good CAP's: http://www.fanfaregames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=124
