theotherguy619
totte, using baseball prospectus would be a good idea to alter attributes. i found my 2004 copy and read it for a good 2 hours. they make good blueprints for player's upcomming seasons. maybe you should look into it b4 the opening day rosters. so we (I) can start a dynasty and not have to start over every few weeks cuz minor changes keep being made. that, and so players like jeremy hermida will actually put up realistic numbers like .270 and 21 HR vs. .235 and 7 HR
theotherguy619
are you (totte) going to change any attributes due to the players performence during spring training?
big shmooz
There won't be a 5.2 Plus Edition. The next Plus roster will be included in the final release of the MVP06 project. Oh... I didn't know that. I released the models.big in anticipation of there being a 5.2 plus. I guess I should release a read me of the changes so people will know what cyberfaces I added to the new models.big since the last release. Here it is for those who want to manually change these cyberface numbers for those players & then import the rosters... it's as follows... J. Damon (Yankees) now has the short hair. His new cyberface number is 029. I am also giving Van Benschoten of Pittsburgh (Triple A) a number of 088. Linebrink of San Diego will be 119. Tampa Bay... Harper 207, Mori 312, Orvella 316. Toronto... McDonald 393, B.J. Ryan 403, Schoenweis 417, Quiroz 421.

Totte
Ironically enough, yesterday I went through some threads at fanfare & Operation Sports, and found all of these guys. I didn't know what team Maybin played for, so I didn't add him. I did, however, add the other 4 guys on that list just yesterday. I got the caps from OperationSports.com, but the thread is from like, last summer (the time of the 2005 Amateur Draft). I'd have to go hunt it down, but I'd be more than happy to post that thread to give you guys a head up on some caps available for these 5 guys. Edit: Here's the link to the thread at Fanfare games. They have most of the critical CAP's in the earlier part of the thread. Most of the thread is junk, but the first 4 or 5 pages has the meat of the good CAP's: http://www.fanfaregames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=124 Thanks. I'll look at the CAP's later this week

Totte
This is off-topic but it's my thread and I need some help. I just started playin' baseball myself a couple of weeks back and since I've only played golf before, I find it hard to learn the new swing technique. Do you guys have any batting instructions videos you can send me? Any pointers on what to think? Please PM or e-mail me (do not post it in the thread) Thanks for listening =)
ferrarienzo
If you go from golf to baseball man is it hard for me at least the swings are similar yet the golf swing really makes you swing under a lot of pitches as its a pengulum swing and baseball is horizontal it takes a while to get used to

firethebomb
I still think you have a huge problem with your minor leaguers. Players like Delmon Young and Brandon Wood are sucking most of the time and hitting around 2-10 homeruns which is inexcusable. Do you have a formula for how this should work or are you just guessing numbers?

Do you have a formula for how this should work or are you just guessing numbers? He has stated before that if you want advancements in your prospects, there's no possible way to have them be worldbeaters in the minors because then they'll come immediately to the big-leagues and do the same thing. He keeps the ratings around the 50s/low 60s because they have yet to prove themselves on the Major League level.
slikkrikk
Hey Totte -- FYI, Willy Aybar (Dodgers AAA) had a cup of coffee at the end of last season and did quite good. I feel he warrants an upgrade from the 50/50 he has now. Here's the line: 86 AB, 28 H, 8 2B, 1 HR, 18 BB, .326 AVG/.448 OBP/.452 SLG Worth a shot! ;)
