dcarsnyy
Carl Pavano, Jaret Wright, Aaron Small may all be on DL at beginning of season. Joe Torre has considered having 3 catchers on the roster at the beginning of the year, calling up Wil Nieves. Matt DeSalvo has impressed this spring and last season and may be the fifth starter at the beginning of the year.
Totte
Unfortunately, I don't have the funds right now to purchase the Baseball America prospect handbook so I couldn't provide any scouting reports for these players. I hope other guys on this board can help out with that information. I have both the 2004 and 2005 edition myself so there's no worries about it bro' EDIT: I meant to say that I have the 2005 and 2006 editions. Sorry

Hilbs
Totte, Miguel Batista of the Arizona Diamondbacks will be moving back into the D-Backs starting rotation after a 2-year stint as closer/middle reliever with the Blue Jays. I changed his 1st. Pos. back to SP and upped his stamina from 42 to 82.

Totte
I haven't been on the forums as of late. Last time I was skill-machine got banned. So, were UR 5.2 converted to PS2 yet? Or should I wait for 5.3? I'd say that one of the upcoming versions will be converted.

BillyBeaneBall
Ok I have bunch of corrections to the Oakland roster. Here goes. my changes are either based on the Baseball Prospectus 2006 or reports off the internet such at ESPn.com, foxsports.com, or the A's website. Nick Swisher...his second position is 1B and he's expected to make about half his starts there this year. Mark Kotsay...has the most OF assists of any OF's since 2000. Maybe we need to change his throwing accuracy to 95 (up from 85)? Bobby Crosby... his player speed rating in Baseball Prospectus has him listed as faster than Chavez. I've heard he's one of the faster guys on the team but in Oakland that's not saying much. I think he should be a 75 (up form 67) Antonio Perez... His second position should be listed as IF since hes an infield utility man. . Plays SS, 2B, and 3B. C John Baker is listed on the wrong team in the minors. he should be in the A's farm system. Played on SAC last year. Jairo Garcia admitted to falsifying his birth certificates from the DR. His REAL NAME is Santiago Casilla and he is 2 years older than he is currently listed...dammit, LOL! Rich Harden has 4 pitches a 97mph FB, CHange, SPlittter, and SLider. Barry Zito has 5 pitches actually. 89mph FB, Cure, Change, Slider and 2 seamer. Danny Haren throws 98mph fastball, a slider, change, splitter, and curve (which is his worst pitch) Kirk Saarloos throws a sinker not a splitter. SwinginSoriano
I've seen Harden hit 97, in fact, in 2004 (or was it 05?) he was one of the leaders in average highest velocity behind Jesus Colome.

kgbaseball
I dought that. 101 is very fast. To fast for Harden even. He can just VERY rarely. In fact, if you check the A's MLB.com site, you will find a wallpaper proclaiming his 100mph-ness.

On Sportscenter they highlighted the radar gun readings when showing highlights from one of his starts. He hit 101 at least 3 times in one game. BillyBeaneBall
Yeah, I've heard Harden can get to 100 as well but found no written proof of it. Highest I saw in print was 98. Danny Haren keps being touted on oaklandathletics.com as being able to top 100 but other than there I can't find it. If the best anyone can find other than me is 94mph then change it to that. I beleive he throws 92 in the game. Yeah, Zito went from 3 pitches to 6 int he last 2 years and he throws them all well. I've heard his slider being described 3 different ways. A slurve, cutter, and as a slider. Not sure which of them is the one he throws unless it's a combination of them when he needs to.
