Royal Blues
Royals trade Wilson Valdez to the Dodgers for Jarod Plummer. Luke Hudson secured one of the two open bullpen spots. That leaves Steve Andrade, Joel Peralta and Steve Stemle fighting for the last bullpen slot. Decision will be made after tonight's game. In the Royals' lineup, switch Mientkiewicz and Brown, and switch Teahen and Berroa. Wichita also has their final roster posted along with jersey numbers...it doesn't show specific positions though, and I can't find a lineup or rotation, but here goes: Pitchers - 35 - Barry Armitage 24 - Ryan Braun 36 - Juan Cedeno 28 - John Gragg III 31 - Junior Herndon 29 - Nate Hoelscher 7 - Thad Markray 22 - Kyle Middleton 41 - Leo Nunez 23 - Cody Smith 27 - Ryan Snare 21 - Seung Jun Song Jarod Plummer (no number posted yet) Catchers: 8 - Damaso Espino 6 - Matt Tupman Infielders: 25 - Alex Gordon 9 - Brett Groves 11 - Kila Kaaihue 4 - Adam Keim 3 - Donnie Murphy 43 - Randy Ruiz 1 - Angel Sanchez Outfielders: 16 - Billy Butler 19 - Mitch Maier 12 - Chris Lubanski That leaves Omaha's roster looking something like this: Pitchers: 25 – Justin Huisman 29 – Danny Tamayo 39 – Kyle Snyder 8 – J.P. Howell 19 – David Elder Brandon Weeden Brian Bass Adam Bernero Joe Nelson Bobby Keppel Catchers: 22 – Scott Walter 3 – Paul Phillips 26 – Jared Price 14 – Tomas Duenas Infielders: 12 – Andres Blanco SS 18 – Justin Gemoll IF 2 – Rudy Gomez 2B Alejandro Prieto SS 9 – Justin Huber 1B Ruben Gotay 2B Mike Coolbaugh 3B Outfielders: 30 - Aaron Guiel 37 – Jaime Jones Chad Allen Kerry Robinson Chip Ambres That's 26, so use your own judgment on who to leave off the roster for now (shouldn't really matter who). herky
Here are a lot attributes suggestions for the Cubs A-AAA. Since I have PS2, these are based off the 5.1 update. I have scouting reports on all these guys if you need more info. AAA P Carmen Pignatiello: Change weight to 175 Pitches: Fastball (86 mph topped out) Curveball (Lower 70's mph with big drop) Circle Change (speed similar to fastball) Splitfinger AAA P Rich Hill Change height to 6-4 and weight to 180 Pitches: Four-Seam Fastball (top's in low to mid 90's) Cutter (Little slower than fastball, late latter movement) Curveball (huge movement, lefties can't hit it, control a little problem) Changeup (not added until 2004, not much faith in it) A P Carlos Marmol Change weight to 190 Pitches: Two-Seam Fastball (90-96 mph, good control) Slider (hard and sharp bite to it, best pitch after fastball, good control) Curveball Changeup both still new pitches AAA P Bobby Brownlie Pitches: Two-Seam and Four-Seam Fastball, Changeup, Curveball AA P Sean Marshall Change weight to 195 Pitches: Fastball (natural sink on it) Curveball (12/6 drop) Lack of velocity on pitches. firethebomb
Totte, I don't know when you plan on releasing your final version but I would recommend that you wait till mid April so we can know the lineups and rosters of each team and their minor league affiliates. You agree?
kgbaseball
I'm guessing the majority of people could care less about having the correct lineups and rotations for 2 reasons; 1) the computer just messes with them anyways, and 2) the lineups have the possiblilty of being different everyday. I can't see this delaying the release date at all. You can put with the roations and lineups yourselves if you want them correct.

I agree with you completely, but I wound up updating my lineups and major league roster placements anyway because a lot of people will probably want to have the 'correct lineup', even if it is just for a day. I completley understand and agree with that, but there is one thing...a lot of people are going to want to be sure their own teams are correct from MLB down to A without having to worry about trying to use MVPEdit. Those people more than likely aren't comfortable enough with the program yet.

TheNemesis
First, I wanted to say thanks Totte and everyone for putting together UR. Being borderline obsessive-compulsive about roster correctness, and having gone through the process of doing roster updates (I produced manual update guides for NHL 05 and 06) I know how much work it is, and how downright aggrivating it can be sometimes. Anyway, I had a question: Are the rosters released with version 6 going to be accurate to the exact situation of the real life teams, or are they going to extrapolate for a healthy lineup? What I mean is will guys who aren't playing to start the season (DL or out for the season, or whatever reason) be in the lineup where they would be if healthy, or will they be stashed away (in the minors or something) so that the lineups and rotations reflect what the real ones look like with that player out? thanks again

lilloreo
Great job on the rosters!!! I've just recently got back into Mvp within the past week. I've updated to the '06 version and the newest version of Shmooz's roster file with UM's unis. I just had a question pertaining to the Ultimate Rosters updates. Why are the MBE files not matching up with all the cyberfaces? It seems that the last release of the UR to have all the faces correctly assigned was the 5.0 version. I tried the 5.3's but there are a lot of assigned #'s in the 900's. I searched through this thread but didn't find any answers. I know that there is an excel file with all the correct #'s in it. Is it now up to each person to modify in MVPedit themselves or are the opening day rosters gonna be correct in regards to the MBE file?
statelizard
It's because the 5.3 version isn't a plus version just a standard, the next update that will be compatible with all the cyberfaces will the the 6.0 version that Totte is working on now. He says that it should be out on or around opening day.
lilloreo
OK, I didn't realize that's what the "plus" meant. Thanks for the quick response!

Royal Blues
Bullpen*: Burgos (CL) Dessens Sisco Wood Gobble Peralta Andrade Final roster was made out today. Luke Hudson and Steve Stemle are in the bullpen, Peralta and Andrade are out. Peralta was optioned to Omaha, and Andrade was designated for assignment. If you're going to keep Hernandez in the starting rotation and MacDougal as closer, the most likely scenario is Gobble and Stemle being moved back down to Omaha.
