I understand what you mean but I don't want to release something that's just halfway done :)

I'm gonna watch the first hour of Nats vs. Mets before watching my precious Red Sox take on the Rangers.

i hear u man, same here. u know those days when u just dont feel like going to school, especially on mondays, well, today was one of them. got home from work late last night and woke up today, got ready, and then thought i'd stay home and watch the nats and the sox play, even though the yankees are only playing at 10. :x anywayz, as always, great job on these rosters man.

Here is a scouting report on him as well since this CAP was made last season.

Pawelek features a low- to mid-90's fastball, curveball and slider in his repertoire. Most scouting reports on Pawelek indicate that his out pitch is his curveball. Pawelek disagrees, however.

“I'd have to say my slider is,†he said. “When I throw it, it has the usual late, sharp break that you always look for. It registers at about 78-80 mph.â€

kgbaseball, you sent me:

Mike Carp, Jose Coronado, Kevin Deaton, Emmanuel Garcia, Bobby Parnell, Evan Maclane, Jorge Reyes, Drew Butera and Greg Gonzalez.

Are those all the players?

I've got a few more from the Twins, Tigers, Cubs, and maybe a couple other teams if you want them.

I hope you guys understand how much work I'm putting into this as I'm staying home from school today.

No, I'm not sick. I'm working on the rosters.

Haha, that's funny Totte cause I'm staying home from school today as well, both in anticipation of today and because today is the "real" Opening Day, at least for us Tigers fans. And of course being lazy and watching baseball all day seems like a lot more fun than discussing Zamyatin's "We" at the moment, though it is a wonderful book. Thanks for all the hard work man. :D

I'm good for now thanks.

Time is running so fast when you're working with the rosters :?

When is the deadline for you today, assuming you're going to release today?

Officially at 1.05 PM when the Nationals take on the Mets.

I might however do some minor tweaks in and between innings but my main event for tonight is Red Sox vs. Rangers.

For the Yankees watchers;

I'm aware of the opening day rosters (or as close as they are right now), and I'm in the middle of updating them. Unfortunately, I don't have time to get them completed and give Totte enough time to make the necessary changes and still release the rosters on time, but the minor leagues will be correct, or as close as possible to correct, for the next version after today's release.

(As a preview, Hughes is staying in Tampa until the weather heats up, Clippard and Cox join Trenton, Cabrera, Duncan, DeSalvo and Karstens join Columbus and there are a few imports to Tampa - the most requested one being the inclusion of Jose Tabata.)

Thanks.

I'm starting the last phase of UR 6.0 right now - updating the cyberface ID's.

Looks like you guys will have a new roster to play around with tonight

excellent man. Just a quick update on the cardinals.

I posted (4 or 5 pages ago) the full opening day roster for the Cards. One change has been made:

http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/st...DC?OpenDocument

Junior Spivey has been left in STL as they travel to PHI for opening day. That means that Hector Luna (currently on AAA squad) will be on the roster, and Spivey will be asked to go to AAA or probably be released. Unless we find some kind of trade.

Thanks for all your hard work! I look forward to seeing the new Cards roster. I hope John Rodriguez's face matches his skin tone! lol!

Awesome Totte. I'm not sure how you're handling the DL and whatnot, but the Tigers have placed Todd Jones on the 15 day D.L. on they have called up Jordan Tata to replace him in the bullpen on the 25-man roster

Jones stays in Detroit at the closer. I'd like a CAP of Tata though if you have one?

I don't happen to have, nor could I find a CAP of Tata, but I can give you what I have.

Jordan Tata

DOB - 9-20-1981

Ht. 6-6

Wt. 245

B/T - R/R

He's about as white as they get, and has a beard

Here's a clipping about him from the freep:

Jordan Tata, right-handed pitcher, 24: Drafted in 16th round in 2003. Went 13-2 with a 2.79 ERA and 134 strikeouts in 155 innings last year at Lakeland. Avila: "He doesn't have the power stuff that the other guys have. He's a big guy. Throws more of a low- to mid-90s cut fastball, breaking ball and change-up. He projects out to be a No. 3 starter. He has made strides. His cutter is consistent to where it's almost major league ready."

and then some other notes that i've found:

Strengths

92-94 mph fastball, induces alot of groundballs.

Weaknesses

Early in his career struggled with control, has improved dramatically since then

Potential

projects as a classic power pitcher

I haven't actually seen him pitch, but I would guess that his delivery would be similar to the taller power pitchers in the league, so make it your call. He was slated to be at AA before he was called up. There is still a debate as to if he will be a starter or a relief pitcher so I'd only make his stamina average to low average for what you set your minor league SP's to or slightly higher than the average minor league long relievers.

If I do get a CAP i'll make sure to send it your way

Potential

Where'd you find that? I find it interesting because he's the last person I would think of when I think "power pitcher." He's your classic dominating sinker-baller, ground ball pitcher when his control is on. Here's my CAP of him, although it may be a little too late to add him in.
