Actually your input is welcomed, but please don't come in here and bash Totte or anyone else for that matter.

I'm not bashing the guy. I'm sure he's a nice guy. The product, though, seems subpar for an Editor's Pick. That's my point.

If anybody needs a good PS2 roster set up to date with 100% correct Major League rosters and most of the minors named, PM me and I will swing them to you through email.

You WILL be using this roster because it is the BEST thing going. Soriano's has nice ratings but UR is amazing. Totte has done such an incredible job on the minors in this roster. I shudder to think how many hours he has put into this over the past year. You should be kissing his friggin' feet!

Are these rosters really the best ones out there? I just downloaded them as they are the "Editor's Pick," and I see that the Astros roster is WAY off. Bagwell has been on the DL all year. Astacio was assigned to AAA on 3/25. Munson is the backup catcher, not Quintero. Nieve and Buchholz are on the ML team. Bruntlett, Miller, and Wilson all have the wrong jersey numbers. The batting order isn't remotely close to the order that Houston has used all season. I'm curious, did you put any research into the batting orders? I've never seen the Astros come out with the order you've got.

I could totally understand having these sort of problems on the Minor League teams, but to have this many errors for the defending NL Champs ML roster in an "Editor's Pick"???? And this is just from looking at my favorite team... I shudder to think how many problems exist on all the other teams!!! Yikes!!! 8O

OK, I'll bite.

Look around the game. Do you see an option to start a season with guys on the disabled list? No. Why? Because there isn't a section of the roster dedicated to the disabled list, as there was in the High Heat series. Thus, guys who would be on the major league roster if healthy are left on the major league roster 90% of the time when injured because they would be out of place at AAA and the chances are that anyone who's called up to replace the guy would be sent back to AAA as soon as he's healthy.

Sure, there are problem with the rosters, but Totte works damn hard, as do others, in making the rosters as good as they can be. Maybe the lineup isn't correct for the Astros. But the best way to help with this is to either list your suggested roster here, or to send your suggested changes to Totte via e-mail. If this is done, I can give you a 99.9% guarantee that it will be fixed for the next version. That's how hard this guy works. I send him changes to the Yankees before every new version, and they are always done, and they are almost always totally correct, no matter how many changes, updated batting orders, new rotations or updated CAP's I send the guy.

In short, the best way to improve the rosters is to contribute to them, as others have done in the past and are still doing. You don't like them right now? Then send a list of changes to Totte and he'll correct them if they're accurate. How is he supposed to know something is wrong if no-one tells him?

I, and lots of others, appreciate everything Totte does for these rosters and maybe you should too before asking questions like "did you put any research into the batting orders?".

As Bama said you don't like the rosters, don't use them, but don't post in this thread any more if you have no interest in using or contributing to the rosters.

The point of using Ultimate Rosters is having 100% real players in every organization. As a user who is interested in 100% accuracy in lineups,call-ups,injuries,etc. I realize I have to update my file quite frequently and I have no problem with that.

Don't worry, I won't be! :D

Just makes me wonder how they are an Editor's Pick and how they warrant the name "Ultimate," being that far off! :o

They can warrant the Ultimate name because they've earned it. Totte puts alot of work into this. If you don't like the way your team is set up, change it yourself. Or would that be to much trouble? Think about it, Totte is dealing with 600-700 players and trying to keep up with minor league transactions, some that are go unannounced. I saw that you've made 6 posts and already managed to make an @$$ out of yourself. You've got a *bright* future here.

So you place more importance on the amount of work put in than the accuracy? That's interesting. A billion hours put into rosters that are way off hardly seems better than a few hours put into ACCURATE rosters.

I would have to believe that the vast majority of people here put a higher priority on the Major League rosters than the Minor League rosters. Get the Majors right first, then deal with the Minors.

You are right. There is a highter priority on the majors. But Totte gives us all the players. We can adjust them the way we want. Everybody wants to rely on someone else to do their work for them. You say it only takes a few hours to make them accurate. Then get busy. After a playing a few games, none of the rosters you started with will be the same anyway.

I'm not saying the rosters couldn't be more accurate, they could. But don't come in here bashing people who put many hours into this. Totte is providing us a starting point. Why can't that be enough?

Ok, I've got a suggestion for anyone who doesn't like the way the rosters are at this site. Get off your lazy butts and do it you're self. I'm tired of people who come to MVP Mods expecting to grap a bunch of free downloads, who contribute nothing, and then whine about how things aren't exactly the way they want them to be. As an IT Database manager, I have a pretty good idea of the amount of time and effort Totte and the other modder put into their work. I and the other 99% of the people here love what you do. Keep up the great work :D

He wouldn't like those either because SS decided to put DL'ed players on the MLB team <gasp!>

Putting them in AAA would had annoyed more people, but really unimportant details like Eric Munson being Houston's backup have been included. :p

Anyway, HurricaneDavid, calm down. I'll be the first to say it, but the moderators don't put up with crap here. And they shoudn't.

Here are the choices:

- UR

- Epic (SS/mine/whatever the hell you want to call them)

- Your own (Taking an existing roster, do the changes yourself, and be happy. :) )

Ultimate Rosters v 6.2 (both versions) have been uploaded and are available in the download section.

Here’s what’s new in this version:

•Transactions are up-to date as of April 14th (4 pm ET)

•Updated contracts for Coco Crisp, David Ortiz and Derrek Lee.

•Added some missing prospects (I.E. Jay Bruce, Angel Salome, Adam Boeve and Clint Everts).

•Improved lineups for Chicago Cubs and NY Mets.

•Plus minor tweaks here and there to improve your gameplay even further (ratings, appearances etc.)

Enjoy the rosters and don't forget to donate if you like the work! All money go to charity :D

Hey Totte, great rosters man, but I have a few changes that should be made to the Cubs Org.

Iowa:

Create- RP Ryan O'Malley

3B Casey McGehee (what, no love for the Irishmen lol)

Cut-3B Jake Thrower (I cant find this guy on any Cubs minors rosters)

West Tenn:

Cut- C Dennis Anderson

Daytona:

Cut- C Jeff Winchester

C Jon-Mark Sprawl (again I dont see either of these guys on any

roster)

Oh and the Midland RockHounds NL vs LHP lineups have no 6 hole hitter, so you get that annoying (NULL) thing.
