MarkB
MarkB? Any thoughts or is it a green light? On this? Well, no. Unfortunately, I don't see Cabrera as a mainstay on the Yankees roster, so he'll probably be back in Columbus when Sheffield heals. D.L. transactions are really pretty useless to the rosters, because the chances of an established major leaguer like Sheffield being sent down to AAA to make space for a call-up is very slim if it's only a short-term injury. And, since he's been playing the last year and a half in center field full-time and can play all 3 outfield positions anyway, I don't see any need to change his position. Also, Melky just doesn't seem too comfortable in the corner outfield spots any more. He started out as a corner outfielder but with the Yankees center field crisis last year, they converted him to a center fielder and he's been doing well at that position since the swap. In Columbus this year, he's been playing in center for the large majority of the time, with Kevin Thompson, Kevin Reese and Mitch Jones taking the other spots when necessary. Thompson played center late last year after Melky was sent back down to AA Trenton when his Bronx experiment "failed", but was shifted to mainly right field in 2006. juk34man
hey totte, I just wanted to know if it was possible to have the DL list updated in the rosters and could it be done for the PS2 rosters too... I know it was talk about this before but it kinda faded away. It's likely that you'll see it in the UR-series but I don't know when. Sometime after the All-Star Break seems like a reasonable projected time but that might change.
