you coulddo that, but if you play dynasty or owner mode, and get to year two, the guy will still have his crappy ratings.

Not if you edit them back when its time for his injury to end. You set all of them to 0 and one he is to return in real life, you edit them back to what they once were, sign him for what he was making and shabam, you now have Steve Trachsel back where he was supposed to be.

I get your point, suitcase, but we aren't the ones editing your roster after you've played your game and started a dynasty. So here's the verdict...

We'll put injured guys in AAA, and you all may do whatever you like with them. There will not be a total agreement on what to do with injured guys, so this is the best scenario--to let you guys do whatever you wish with what we give you.

With that said, I'd appreciate it greatly if you guys would help us with major injuries. Let us know anyone who is out at least 3 months (i.e. Trachsel) or out for the year. I'm leaving players out less than 3 months (such as Schilling, Wade Miller or Lance Berkman) where they would normally be. So far I have demoted Trachsel and injured Pirate pitchers Sean Burnett and John Van Benschoten...

The next update is shaping up to be quite huge. I've logged some serious hours on this roster, and its really starting to take shape. There are still quite a few fake players in AAA (and tons in AA and A), but I have officially eliminated all fake players from the free agent list! That's right, even though its fairly small (like 90 players), the free agent list is comprised of 100% real players, including the likes of Fernando Seguignol and Brian Schmack...

HypnoxXx

thanks

so the injure players that happens in the MLB, you will just put them on AAA minors, but rating wont be alter and they will be fully healty i hope?

if so why not keep them in the majors, the computer teams is going to promote them anyway.

I think the thought process is since their rosters are going to reflect what is thrown out on Opening Day they will put the players who will miss a lot of time in AAA so that their rosters will reflect that. Kind of like if Trachsel were on the MLB team in the game... where would Ishii be? If the computer wants to promote him...let them make the decision with what to do with who replaces them on the Opening Day roster.

Just thought I'd post this...

From rotoworld.com

Athletics optioned LHP John Rheinecker, C John Baker and SS Mike Rouse to Triple-A Sacramento; reassigned 1B Daric Barton, RHP Jimmy Serrano, SS Omar Quintanilla and OF Shawn Garrett to minor league camp.

It looks like the A's have made the decision to move Barton to 1B. Would be nice if this change were in place for the next update. Should be something very minor so shouldn't be a problem.

I cant find anything about carl sadler at the moment i thought he was still with the indians but i dont see that anywhere. I have emailed a friend who has a lot information regarding player movements (especially indians players) so hopefully he can give a definitive answer.

It seems as though carl sadler has just disapeared he isnt currently in spring training with a team, but I believe he will pop up somewhere in early april with someone's triple a team because a) hes left handed and B) hes left handed.

Also it looks as though Jeff D'amico is no longer with the indians. I dont beleive he is currently with a team either.

I don't think he really throws a sinker. He throws a real heavy fastball that has some sink to it though. I haven't checked him out in the game so you may want to make sure his 2-seamer gets some sink to it.

McCarroll, you are right about gryboski, he doesnt neccasarily throw a sinker. I saw an interview where bobby cox was talking about him and was saying how his hard heavy sinking fastball is his specialty.

also it seems that xaiver nady might become the everyday thirdbasemen in san diego so his main position should probably be 3b with his second position being outfield or utility. I say utility because hes been playing all over the field this spring and if he isnt the everyday third basemen he will be the backup at first base, third base all three outfield spots and possibly second base. So what do you guys think youll make his position as?

First off my friends, i really enjoy using your rosters and thanks for considering the body type adjustments i suggested earlier.

My friend and I have been thinking about linking pre-exsisting 3d faces to players with generic faces, kind of like you guys did with Iguchi from the white sox and Gomer/kerm did last year. i have looked at each 3d face about a million times trying to figure out who they look like. I am an xbox user and my friend has a pc copy. I think it would be cool if you could assign these face numbers for these players with generic faces for your roster set...

For the console compatibale set (b/c the pc version has cyberfaces):

SF- Bonds (face# -548)

(look at him in the edit equipment screen, it shows a far out view and it looks alot more like him than any generic face.)

Bos- Kevin Millar # -251

and now the others...

Ana- Chone Figgins # -645

Arz- Brad Halsey # -709

Atl- Adam Laroche # -517

Chw- Willie Harris # -761

Iguchi # -765

Cle- Johnnie Pelralta # -492

Grady Sizemore# -483

Det- Carlos Pena # -387

Fla- Guilmero Mota # -761

KC- David Dejesus # -559

LA- Dioner Navarro # -789

Mil- Bill Hall # -552

Rickie Weeks # -620

NYY- Bubba Crosby # -772

Oak- Kenchi Tabu # -371

Charles Thomas # -498

Phi- Ryan Howard # -804

TB- Dewon Brazelton # -811

Jorge Sosa # -647

Jesus Colome # -504

BJ Upton # -761

Was- Endy Chavez # -653 (he also needs his skin tone changed from hispanic to light black)

If you guys think is a good idea, let me know and ill start researching more players and top prospects for look alike faces...

(posted after taking a look a last 10 pages or so, since last update. if already mentioned, sorry redbird fans)

poor runner-ups from the Heartland can't "get no respect", as Rodney would say (or have said). i know spring training numbers can be misleading but when you throw four 'bagels' AND go "yard" two weeks from opening day, you deserve a little love from llcmac-HypnoxXx's roster (and you're the #1 prospect in the org).

[not on St. Louis, Memphis, Tenn., Palm Beach or FA list. original STL draftee.]

St. Louis AAA- Memphis:

Abraham Quintana = ANTHONY Reyes (not Al)

stats: http://www.cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/players/playerpage/546241

scouting: see BA prospect book p. 370

here's from Street & Smith 2005 Baseball

Impact Rookie: Anthony Reyes

was a dominating pitcher from the University of Spoiled Children (USC), but his elbow has given him problems as a pro, damaging his stamina and placing his career in limbo. With adequate rest he came back with a vengeance, dominating two levels with his plus command (7.0 K/BB) ...Reyes' best pitch is a 78-81 mph slider that breaks hard and is effective against both sides of the plate. His arm speed is very consistent an a 87-94 mph two-seam fastball and a 79-81 mph changeup, allowing himto pitch above the quality of his stuff on most occasions. He fields his position well and has a solid pickoff move, despite not being very athletic. The Cardinals may be in search of a starter this year and Reyes could be in the mix by midseason.

Top BA 100 = #47

no offense to whoever did the Angels farm system, but it needs to be redone. Pelaez is on the Reds, Cyr should be a starter, almost all created players have their speed ratings too low, Kendry Morales is on AAA and AA.

I've already fixed Pelaez, Cyr and Morales...But I could use your help in re-rating speeds.

Yeah, I can do that. Do you want a .txt file or .met files?

Hyp- To wrap up Giants and AAA (Fresno)

Kit Knotts (fake) = Michael Cervenak [1st pos. = 3B, 2nd pos. = Util.]

stats: http://www.cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/players/playerpage/546040

scouting: Cervenak completed a banner season. He won an organizational Triple Crown, leading all Giants minor-leaguers with a .328 average, 26 home runs and 98 RBIs...He has been held back for lack of a position. His defense at third base is not considered big-league caliber, and, at 5-foot-11, he is viewed as too small for a first baseman. But the Giants love Cervenak's bat and believe he could be a valuable corner utility player on a major-league team.

Fresno- L. Niekro 2nd pos.= 3B

Tue, 25 Jan 2005 21:35:49 -0800 : http://www.kffl.com/player/8713/mlb

Rich Draper, of Giants.MLB.com, reports San Francisco Giants 1B Lance Niekro could earn a job out of spring training as a reserve infielder. Niekro can play either first or third base.

Once Felipe makes it official and gives pink slips to grandpas like Fassero and Veres, we can add a few more position players

BTW, note on the rival Dodgers (Las Vegas AAA):

they have finally crawled out from under that 'disaster' contract of Todd Hundley. He no longer plays, although I can't find official retirement notice.

"No longer on roster: In less than 10 months since then, 24 players have left the Dodgers organization: Adrian Beltre,...,Steve Finley, Shawn Green, Jose Hernandez, Todd Hundley,..." taken from : http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com/NASApp/m...a&fext=.jsp

Not on payroll: http://russells.freeshell.org/ddollars/tea...mp;name=Dodgers
