JoeyMcM93
Exactly. The Mets need all the help they can get in the postseason pitching wise.
southside_hitmen
Major Sox update again. Added Jeff Nelson to MLB, Montero to AAA. Tony Torcato in from SF AAA to AAA Charlotte, Cory Aldridge in from NYM AAA to AA Birmingham. Darren Blakely to AA, Mark Quinn to AA DL. Rob Mackowiak into MLB line-up vs. RHP for Anderson. Also look at Crede, Ozuna, Jenks, and Podsednik. I also completed the Class A Winston-Salem roster and added some Oakland edits at the bottom. Finally, since the Sox have 108 players on the officiall roster I posted some suggested moves to knock the roster size down to 100. It is located after the Winston-Salem info. Check the original post for details. EDIT: Here's the link: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Foru...p=248446#248446
kgbaseball
They have to get there first. With the way their rotation is, they're not going to get there.
JoeyMcM93
I agree, but that offense is lookin' good. If they can make it, Hernandez will give them some wins.
Hilbs
I agree, but that offense is lookin' good. If they can make it, Hernandez will give them some wins. Bottom line is that Maine and Bannister are out for extended period's of time, and with Zambrano gone for the season, they had to make some sort of move, and with a bullpen as deep as their's, it was logical to make a move like this. I think that both teams will end up happy in the end. Jorge Julio is clearly starting to get back to his form when he was with the Orioles, and Hernandez will be at least in a better situation where his team is able to keep him in the game. Meanwhile, my Cubs just got swept by the Marlins, and we haven't done a damn thing yet :/
beekay415
For who? I bet Jorge goes to Arizona, in the middle of the desert, has no pressure on him whatsoever, and does great. I'm pretty sure he'll be just fine; also moving to the NL which is a pitcher's league will suit him well. El Duque is awful; good deal for the DBacks. he was already in the NL

D-Unit
He's been nothing more than a good postseason pitcher his whole career. in 2004 he won like 8 straight games after the all star break for the yankees down the stretch. that wasnt the postseason. he is a clutch pitcher. he is average when theres no pressure but he steps it up when its needed. cybernetic
Jays moves: RHP Josh Towers outrighted to Syracuse (AAA); IF Russ Adams optioned to Syracuse (AAA). IF Luis Figueroa is expected to be purchased from Syracuse to split-time at SS with John McDonald for the time-being. Adam Kennedy is rumored to be a target to be acquired to takeover at 2B and that would move Aaron Hill to SS (his natural position). Another move is going to be made to get another arm in the bullpen (probably Marcum again) until Chacin comes off the DL to start Tuesday's game in Boston. Adams problems are mostly defensive and hat is said to be a mental problem that they're going to try to work out in Syracuse. Towers, on the other hand, has been terrible for the Jays going 1-8 with a 9.00 ERA this season. From the way it looks he won't return to the Jays rotation this season. cybernetic
The Jays are close to signing IF Edgardo Alfonzo to a minor-league deal. According to this article he's expected to be assigned to Syracuse (AAA) following the signing and could become the everyday 2B moving Hill to SS. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5639020
