Totte
hmm...i thought Ken Ray was going to be the closer, but Sosa's listed at the Braves' site. Cormier and James are starting. I'm changing his role with the Braves right now...
D-Unit
Matt Belisle of the Reds also has a face of a black guy. that is probably because a new cyberface you added has the same face number as his. i had the same problem when i added teh cj henry cyberface, because scott proctor had his face ID. Totte
Hey, just wanted to give a big thanks to Totte and the rest involved in putting out these rosters. I'm very excited for UR 7! bigh0rt
Thank you :hail: I saw there was discussion regarding Liriano's pitches earlier in this thread. He's been gettins his slider in at about 92 MPH, and his fastball at 99 MPH. Other musings that may or may not be the case now: Steve Trachsel's 4-seamer and 2-seamer both coming in at 88 MPH. Carlos Beltran's hot zone runs across the top of the zone against both lefties and righties, while Delgado's is low as well as in against RHP, and nonexistant against LHP. Jose Reyes also rakes the bottom of the zone against both LHP and RHP, but should have lots of blue due to how frequently he swings and misses. He's not swinging and missing much these days How incredible is Reyes becoming? I'd say he's got a hot zone straight up and down the middle of the plate 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 I'd say he's hot in 2,5,8,7; cold in 1,4,9 and neutral 3,6 from the left side He is hot 1,4,2,5,8; cold 7,9,3,6 from the right side But god, right now, you can't get him out! dudeitsgreenday
Guys, (Totte mainly) I've been keeping up on the rosters since the last UR was released. I've done way too much and put in way too many hours to list all of the changes/updates that we're made. But anyway, I'd just like your permission to publish these on the web. All original rights will be given of course. Just consider my version an amendment for the PS2. It doesnt even have to be included in the UR project, but i did use UR 6.something as a base, so thats why I'm asking permission here. Give it some thought... Thanks. thr33niL
In the game vs Houston, I saw him throw around 94 mph I've seen Liriano pitch on 3 occasions this year. Twice against Seattle. He varies his fastball quite a bit. I'm not sure if he throwing a 2-seamer or just taking something off the 4-seamer but he tops at about 98 but it seems like he is really trying to heave it (ie, not as much control). He sits more in the 93-97 range. Again, he seems to take something off his fastball on occasion. His slider is anywhere from 88-92 and is by far, his best pitch (crazy movement and he can spot it). He also throws a change in the 85mph range that has some nice downward movement. He only really uses 3 pitches although he may vary speed and such on those three. His stuff is filthy but what makes him so good is his control. Really quite similar to Felix Hernandez's 11 starts in 2005. Last year, Felix was spotting everything and posted a 2.xx ERA in those 11 starts. This year, Felix hasn't had the same control and been up in the zone way too much resulting in some crumby numbers. snepp
Small bit of info for Twins' AAA reliever Pat Neshek, he needs some type of sidearm delivery. I'm sure the generic sidearm would be close enough. He's been putting up silly numbers as well, sub-2.00 era and 79-to-12 K/BB ratio in 51 innings. Many attribute his success to his wonky delivery and wonder if he'll be able to get lefties out at the major league level. His delivery: http://eteamz.active.com/PatNeshek/images/...pnewbritain.gif Edit: He also needs to have a slider (straight from the horses mouth). http://www.sethspeaks.net/062306.htm

D-Unit
Joe Mauer is hitting .368 and is the real deal, so I would give a pretty big boost to his contact against lefties, which for some reason is at 52. he is hitting .363 against lefites, and .371 against righties. and his stance seems to look a lot like larry walker instead of generic. From a couple of pages back: ...I won't be making ANY ratings changes to the guys kraw have edited. three year splits and trends...if a player has been getting better every year for the last three his rating are a little better than just using the 3 year splits...same for the other direction

I appreciate that you guys keep posting these sort of things but there's no need to 'cuz I don't do the disabled list demotions. I've said it before and the only way for me to consider sending down a player is if he's on the 60-day DL.
