Totte
I'm not positive, but I believe "purchased the contract of..." means the player has never been on a MLB roster and will now receive a MLB salary. Recalling a player just means you're bringing a guy to the MLB club with previous experience. Thanks for the info :wtg:

Close, but just to clarify, when it says purchased the contract of so and so it means that the player wasnt on the 40 man roster and he is being brought up to the big leagues and in turn being placed on the 40 man roster. Recalled just means that the player is already on the 40 man roster and is just being called up to the 25 man.

Totte
Small bit of info for Twins' AAA reliever Pat Neshek, he needs some type of sidearm delivery. I'm sure the generic sidearm would be close enough. He's been putting up silly numbers as well, sub-2.00 era and 79-to-12 K/BB ratio in 51 innings. Many attribute his success to his wonky delivery and wonder if he'll be able to get lefties out at the major league level. His delivery: http://eteamz.active.com/PatNeshek/images/...pnewbritain.gif Edit: He also needs to have a slider (straight from the horses mouth). http://www.sethspeaks.net/062306.htm Thanks for the info. I've edited Neshek...

drkazo
Scouting reports for: Jeff Peterson: http://www.calleaguers.com/PetersenJeff05.html Juan Serrato: http://www.calleaguers.com/SerratoJuan05.html All I know is Brian Anderson has a 89-92 fastball, 81 mph changeup and a curveball that reaches 77 mph and has a dirty break on it, but he has no control at all. Dasda
Nick Pereira (RHP) DOB- 09-22-1982. 6'0" 190 lbs. 5-3, 3.04, 50.1 IP, 41 K, 14 BB for S-K. Yet another young draftee with excellent control numbers. *A converted middle infielder who didn’t begin pitching until his sophomore year in junior college, Pereira confused hitters with a deceptive delivery, a sinking fastball that touched 92-93 mph and a hard, late-breaking slider. This was Pereira's most effective start in a few weeks. His sinker appeared to be working more effectively with a 10/2 GO/FO. ** HE HAS ALSO ADDED CIRCLE CHANGE**
