Boston Red Sox Released 1B J.T. Snow.

AAA Iowa RP Mark Watson was traded to the A’s and was slated to report to Triple-A Sacramento. The Cubs will receive a player to be named at a future date.

I'm working on getting a Iowa pitcher CAP for either AAA relief pitchers Thomas Atlee, or Clap Rapada to fill in that gap by Watson.

2B Tony Womack got sent down to AAA, but that's only because C Geovany Soto was brought up to easy the load on C Henry Blanco. When Barrett returns from suspension, Soto will probably go down and Womack may be brought up. In short, I'd leave Womack on the Cubs MLB team.

long time reader, first time poster submitting some roster moves.

pittsburgh moved oliver perez to the bullpen, designated ryan vogelsong for assignment, and promoted jonah bayliss from indy (aaa)

la dodgers brett tomko went on the 15 day dl, the dodgers will carry three catchers while he's down (from the trade yesterday- don't know how you handle that)

anyways, totte you do an awesome job on the rosters, can't wait for 7.0

That's great! Just tell me who to add and I'll fix it.

green is now on the MLB roster since cano is on the DL. but i dont think the DL's are gonna make a difference in the rosters...

I'd still rather have him somewhere in the organization and have another player deleted.... maybe an older player in AA who most likely wont be called up this year

He might make it into 7.0, but no guarantees. The Yankees have quite a few key players injured which can't be sent down (Matsui, Sheffield, Cano, Sturtze), which is really screwing with AAA. Hence, no spare space at AAA. Besides, Green is almost on the verge of getting a minor league journeyman status. He hasn't had a major league hit since early April and the only reason he's even been called up is because Cano has gone on the DL. The chances of him making a significant impact on the MLB roster is miniscule, in my opinion.

Most of the guys in AAA are either already on the MLB roster but are in AAA because there is no space on the MLB roster, have been on the MLB roster, or were recently called up to the MLB roster. Most of the guys in AA make a significant impact to their team - the oldest player is 32 year old Jason Brown, who is a valuable backup catcher and is getting significant playing time. There is the option of dumping him into AA as that only has 24 players right now, but then I'm sure someone would complain that he's in AA as opposed to AAA, and I'd agree. He shouldn't be there anyway.

However, like I said, he might make it, he might not. You'll find out when 7.0 is released. ;)

The Tigers have signed well-traveled Major League outfielder Dustan Mohr to a Minor League contract. He's expected to report to Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old right-handed batter became a free agent last week after declining a Minor League assignment from the Red Sox. He batted .175 (7-for-40) this season for Boston, his fourth team in as many years. He has also played for the Rockies and Giants after spending the first three seasons of his career in Minnesota.

He deserves to be in the rosters somewhere, especially since he is in the majors, regardless of how long he stays with the Yankees

Every player in professional baseball deserves to be in the rosters. However, due to the limitations, it's not possible. That's like saying no-one deserves to have AIDS, or cancer, yet it still happens, and there's not too much that can be done about it.

another depth chart change: tampa bay has moved rhp edwin jackson into the closer role. meadows is the set up man, and tim corcoman is now a starter.

Thanks :)

I disagree, it is possible to have every guy currently playing major-league level pro ball in the game, in UR 7.0 Totte seems to have done it with the other 29 organisations.

That is the foundation a decent roster set should be built upon.

It doesn't matter if he is a journeyman, if you are a current mlb player, no matter how crappy, you should be in rosters which allow 100 players per org.

Just because you might have to put him in AA seems a ridiculous reason to delete him completely.

It seems you are more concerned with having "accurate" rosters for the Trenton Thunder than the actual major league team, when it really should be the other way around.

For the last two seasons, Green has been a solid backup in the infielder and he shouldn't be deleted because theres no room for him. Delete a single A player, move down a AA player to A, and the same to a AAA player. Since he made the MLB roster he should be allowed to be in 7.0.

There it is. When I made that post, I just knew someone would have something to say, and my first thought was, guess who? You!

Now, let's see what we have in today's episode of "Hory's World".

Read my post again. Go on, read it again, don't just keep reading this line.

All done? OK, now read this part I quoted again.

Done? OK. Now, do you see the difference between what I typed and what you decided to pick out? No? Well, let's see.

Every player in professional baseball deserves to be in the rosters.

Professional baseball. Not major-league professional baseball. You'll need to try harder than that for today's attempt.

I'm concerned with having "accurate" rosters for every level of the Yankees organisation, as well as the rest of the teams. I make what changes I can to the Yankees system to make them as accurate as possible, and pass on pieces of knowledge concerning other teams players to Totte. I'm sure he can verify this. The facts are that due to the DL situation, it's impossible to have accurate MLB rosters without sending down some of the biggest names in the game. For example, to have an accurate MLB roster for the Yankees, Hideki Matsui and Gary Sheffield would have to be removed from the roster. Not only am I against that, most of the users, as well as Totte himself, is against it. As for deleting him, take your pick. Players who cannot be placed into their actual team due to space limitations are deleted, rather than being placed on the free agent list or left on another team simply because there is space there. Would you rather have them on the free agent list to be picked up by another team, even though they don't play for them?

How about sending suggestions rather than critisisms next time? And don't bother with the next PM, I can pretty much guess what it'll say already.

How many other current Major League players are not in Ultimate Rosters?

If a player is on a major league team, you should make room for them, somewhere, somehow. The player should never be deleted.
