Hyp-

If you're still around the thread, I count Scranton, Columbus, and Syracuse as good as done. I'm working on Colorado Springs now. One question: You have 7 fakes still left on this squad, and 4 new imports and 1 created for the Rockies. So we need 7 "new" players not in the improts and creations, right?

P.S.. I wrote "Good call on M. Hernandez." without looking, just so it didn't seem like I was picking on PhillyFan. Learned my lesson.

I have a general question for anyone that may know, I already have downloaded a roster but I keep hearing such great things about these rosters that I am tempted to download them and replace the other ones, but here is my question. I have downloaded all the portraits for the teams but if I download these rosters, will that ovewrite the portraits I downloaded, thus forcing me to download them again? Im not totally sure on how mvp edit and whatnot work in this regard, I assume since the portraits are kept in EA Graphics editor that it wont make a difference but I would appreciate an answer before I take the plunge.

The HLS (HypnoxXx-Llcmac-Snash) Ulimate Rosters? Whatever you want boss. Just keep us in the know.

Baseballif- welcome to the party. The Barker tidbit, sweet inaugural post. I like the "break in slowly" strategy. Now you can scan the thread and help fill the holes. BTW, what gives with Angelos' wallet. No money in the offseason for pitching. Ponson's your ace? Can you say 4th place?

You do know that Ponson's been to prison, right?? That gurantees him a 20 win season.

Kitm-

The player portraits change the "still photos" and the ID# associated with each particular photo in a file : portait.big

These rosters do not change this file. But the authors of this roster do try to keep the ID#'s updated with each player, so the photo matches the player. As hundreds of players are created, some problems may occur with "matching". Just post the problem, and they can change the ID# in a further update.

TT-

You got to look at my comment in context. The guy I wrote it to, baseballif, had a good laugh out of it. Just because devilsjaw put it on the "chop block" doesn't tell the whole story. Plus I have tough skin, let the retorts fly.

OK, OK- back to Co. Springs

Should have included the scouting for some of the players in my previous post on Co. Springs

1) Ryan Shealy-1B

“…has won 2 minor league HR titles in 3 seasons…a career .323 hitter in the minors…purely an offensive player…knee problems have limited him to 1B…doesn’t cover a lot of ground, but he has soft hands and smooth actions around the bag…production could skyrocket in Co. Springs…â€

2) Chris Narveson-LHP

“…Tommy John surgery in 2001…fastball hits 92-93 mph and usually sits at 88-90.He also has a plus curveball and an average changeup. His delivery is both smooth and deceptive. Needs to improve command and build his stamina…He’ll pitch in AAA rotation this year.

3) Mike Esposito-RHP

“…In two full seasons he has made solid progress and stayed away from the trainer’s room. He is not overpowering but throws quality strikes and mixes four effective pitches. His fastball generally sits at 89 mph, and he showed improvement with both his curveball and slider last year. The changeup is the fourth pitch…He will get quick in his delivery and it costs him control… will open season at Co. Springs if he has a good spring…â€

Two more “realsâ€

6) Ryan Speier-RHP (RP)

Stats: http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/players/playerpage/533021

Scouting: “…creates deception with long arms, and further baffles hitters by throwing from an assortment of angles ranging from submarine to ¾. None of his pitches is exceptional, but he locates well and batters have trouble picking them up. His fastball works around 89-90 mph, with its movement improving as the velocity drops. Speier uses a slider, as well as a changeup…He’s durable coming off two strong seasons in a row, so the Rockies will move him up to AAA…â€

7) Cory Sullivan-CF,

Stats & pic: http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...layer_id=430622

Scouting: “…had a torn left labrum, ending his season in spring training (2004)…he would benefit from opening the year in AAA to make up for lost at-bats…While he doesn’t have an off the chart tool, he’s fundamentally sound. He has leadoff hitter speed, true center field defensive ability and a plus arm. Sullivan has a line drive approach and gap power, but he needs to draw more walks and improve his basestealing efficiency…â€

One more possible (evidently this “career minor Leaguer, NRI, is having on hell of a spring):

8) Eddy Garabito- 2B

http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/players/playerpage/225362

None of these players are on AAA, bigs, imports, "creates"

Should wrap up another AAA squad

In case someone is wondering why this fruitcake (me) keeps putting a cool face in place of the number eight, it's because an eight followed by a parenthesis shows up as one automatically. (I couldn't figure it out)

Willie: “What the hell league you been playing in?â€

Vaughn: “California penal.â€

Willie: “Never heard of it. How'd you end up playing there?â€

Vaughn: “Stole a car.â€

Just some Phillies updates, if you haven't heard already. I hope I am doing this right.

Raised Billy Wagner's fastball speed from 96 to 99 since the lowest he would throw last year would be 97, and he went from 98-100 most of the time.

Changed Ryan Madson to a RP.

The Phillies have ended the Ryan Howard experiment in LF.

The Phillies have to decided to end Ryan Howard's experiment with playing the outfield.

Blocked by Jim Thome, Philadelphia wanted to see if their best minor league slugger could play elsewhere. But the 6-4, 260 pound first baseman had no instincts in left. He is more likely than ever to get dealt out of the organization. Mar. 23 - 8:47 am et

To the best of my knowlege Michael Hernandez doesn't play for the Phillies anymore, as I read here. He is not on the minor league roster I had read.

Here is the link to the roster I have found.
