Haha, I'll grant you a leave of absence. Do you need a note for your teacher too?

I don't know what you'd prefer to do with this guy, but Brent Clevlen came up from Single A much quite a bit ago, then jumped to AA, now has come up to the Tigers and so far is doing quite well. Maybe show a little love to his ratings and take him out of Single A ball.

That doesn't show he had 1 BOB and 1 run scored last night.

He was only hitting around .230 in AA so you really dont need to boost his ratings. Well maybe his power and his arm strength is awesome. that definitely deserves to be higher.

I'm bumping up my own post here: Do you guys think that Eric Gagne looks to slim in the rosters? I've always thought of him as a big guy...

I haven't gotten a look at Gagne yet, but I noticed Ortiz looks a little "slim". i could've sworn he was huge in the last rosters lol. I imported 7.2 into my already in-progress dynasty and i was like "Hey did Papi lose some weight?" Great Rosters as always Totte!

Gagne looks about right to me, however Brad Penny looks a little small. Of course I make all these suggested changes for my game Totte, just trying to make it 'as real as possible'. Thanks bro!

andruw jones on waivers? seriously? maybe they're trying to do the waivers trade thing. i heard they had something with the red sox before the deadline.

however, just wanted to point out that shea hillenbrand is still #29 in the v7.2 rosters for the giants which is jason schmidt's number. he is #8 now. no worries though. by the offseason, he will probably be gone.

also--is is just me or with the new models--shea also looks like a monster?

Hey totte if possible will you put Luke Hochevar into the kansas city royals organization. he was the number one draft pic overall and he is a pitcher. ill try to find a cap for him. here is the story on him.

KANSAS CITY -- Pitcher Luke Hochevar has become a Royal.

Hochevar, the No. 1 overall pick in the First-Year Player Draft this year, agreed to a four-year Major League contract, the Royals announced on Thursday.

Hochevar will sign the contract on Saturday and be placed on the Royals' 40-man roster. The deal extends through 2009.

Hochevar will become the fourth No. 1 selection of the draft to sign a Major League deal in the last 20 years, according to the Royals. The others were Alex Rodriguez in 1993, Pat Burrell in 1998 and Delmon Young in 2003.

A right-hander, Hochevar (pronounced HO-chay-vur) was a consensus All-America selection at the University of Tennessee in 2005 and won the Roger Clemens National Pitcher of the Year Award.

The Royals did not disclose contract terms, but Hochevar was believed to have received a guaranteed $5.2 million over the length of the contract with incentives that could boost that to about $7 million.

"We are excited to get Luke signed in a timely fashion, which is a tribute to Luke and the Glass family," senior scouting director Deric Ladnier said. "This will reinforce the depth in our system that we have been stockpiling over the past two months. We see Luke as a top-flight talent and a key part of our future success. We're happy he'll be able to perform this season and begin working toward reaching the big leagues."

Hochevar, 22, was the Royals' first overall No. 1 pick. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers as the 40th overall pick in 2005, but he did not sign. Before this year's draft, he was pitching for the independent Fort Worth Cats.

At Tennessee, Hochevar went 15-3 with a 2.26 ERA in 19 starts last season for the Volunteers' College World Series team. His three-year record was 25-10 with a 3.05 ERA in 51 games.

He throws a fastball in the 92-mph range and has a good overhand curveball.

Hochevar went to Fowler High School in Colorado and was coached by his father, Brian. In 2004, he was on Team USA and pitched an outstanding game against Japan.

I understand that it might seem a bit much but all the ratings are based on a formula with three year splits and are therefore accurate. They won't be changed until after the season when new stats are available...

with all due respect, these are his 3 year splits, even worse than this season,

Overall AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB HBP SO SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS

Total 211 25 49 16 0 9 31 20 3 60 3 0 .232 .308 .436 .744

As RHB 211 0 49 16 0 9 31 20 3 60 0 0 .232 .308 .436 .744

i think mid 50's to mid 60's is generous... but hes currently rated equal with hitters like pujols, ortiz, lee, and arod.... theres no way it can be remotely accurate

I appreciate the effort of pulling up his stats like that but it's kraw that has done the batting ratings based on a formula and he's been using the same one for all MLB players. I won't change any ratings until after the season, sorry buddy.
