I'm actually thinking about going to bed.. as crazy as that sounds. I'm also getting frustrated with it since I can't generate much offense. I only made real trades.. it's me, not the team that's the problem. I stopped playing for a while and now my timing is messed up. It's especially hard for me to catch up to the high fastball. Yes, I have a thread for it in the dynasty section. Should I move back down to Pro? I only seem to win against soft-tossers who throw around 90 with the fastball.. and somehow I beat Santana but that was cuz I had Halladay going. When I play on pro I hit tons of homers and all my pitchers have an ERA under 2. I even had a starter go through 8 starts with a 0.00 ERA and 4 CGs. The problem I have with all-star is that I'm not patient enough at the plate and strike out a lot. I also hit a lot of weak grounders/popouts. When I pitch even if the slider has -25 power, if I miss and even though it's still low and on the outside corner they hit a home run. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The dynasty thread looks good dude :wtg: I haven't actually tried out my own sliders in dynasty yet but they work great in exhibition games. What datafile are you using? It's just not realistic. So now I just play with the sliders. It seems to have helped with the pitching and the sliders have held down the home run problems but they still do hit them from time to time but it's managable. Works great with very realistic ball movement etc. I tried his datafile and when I was on All-Star, almost every pitch would get hammered no matter where I put it. It was just so annoying. I had games where it would be like 18-0 after 3 innings. What made it worse was that I couldn't get any offense going at all. With this datafile (Jim's combo datafile), I had decent offense when I had it installed and without the walkfix I can pitch better. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Then next game, I couldn't hit Harden from the A's for 7 innings. In the 8th, they got to him for 5 runs..completely realistic..All star level, Hoops sliders...i had been using this other datafile with the same settings and was jacking 5 or 6 HR's a game..and my pitchers had ERA's under 2.
