cybernetic
I did some testing with that combination of datafile/sliders and it worked well. I was able to hit better.. I had 10 hits in a game off Vazquez, even caught up to some high fastballs and hit a home run off him. Pitching was good for me too. I'm going to tweak them a bit though to make the bullpen tire out sooner. In the test I just tried to pull everything and didn't try to go the other way at all so it's not a real game situation but it did the job since it did appear to be easier to see the ball and to catch up to it. xiberger
I am guessing it is something to do with tall guys then? That's an affirmative. Tall guys sometimes cause troubles when a (modified) batting view doesn't suffice for their abnormal size.

cybernetic
I just started with the bullpen fatigue rate of 20.. although if you take more pitches and walk you might want to keep it lower.. I also use pitching view 1 (the behind the pitcher view) so I can't reallu use batting view 5.

RaptorQuiz
Sidney Pon I cant' pitch a decent game to save my life son! I hope you're kidding. Before we released him, his only real problem was not pitching deep enough into games. Which is a problem since our bullpen is worse than a little league teams'. The only member of our pitching staff that consistently out-performed Ponson was/is Carpenter. If you recall, Ponson was the pitcher that was undefeated the longest. I'd take him over the hideously inconsistent-Marquis or the about-to-implode-any-minute-Weaver any day.

RaptorQuiz
look at his ERA for the 4 games he pitched in with the Yankees, he's as done as done can get. I don't care WHAT he did with the Evil Empire. He was way more consistent than the scrubs we have going every 5 days now. Oh lord: MULDER - now THAT is a lost cause. He isn't anything close to how he used to be and has shown NO ability to try to get back to that place either. And the rookie Reyes? Over-hyped in a big way. He is NOT ready to start at the major league level. Yet. Ponson was like Jeff Suppan - nothing really special, but most days he'd at lease give you a chance to win. Mulder? Marquis? Weaver (usually)? These people are giving up 10 runs in the first 2 innings. Good luck with that.

I'm sure it's easier to pitch in St. Louis than NY, but still, there has to be a better option than Ponson. I have no idea what the Cardinals have in the pitching dept, so I won't even claim to know if he's better or not. Regardless, he's free for the taking if they want him back. arossi12
For the Phillies, Joe Thurston is now playing LF. IMO, it's his second position, because he played 2B all year at scanton.
cybernetic
I don't know if this has been addressed (in 7.2 it's not) but Orioles 3B Fernando Tatis' alternate position should be INF (none specified in 7.2), he's also made one start in RF in his career and it was this year for the O's so you might even go all the way to call him a UTIL
